Sheila is the dancer at the bar... Oh my. Celestas are awesome. They're like metallophones with keys, and they sound really pretty. Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy from The Nutcracker is played on one, to give you an idea. Oh, I love that song! It was my theme song for a little bit in 8th grade. x333 Yes, I do admit it was pretty boring sometimes! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) *sigh* Maybe one day they'll make AWL 2.0! They put a shed in your ranch that was pointless... Oh, I was reading on a GameFaqs forum once, where they were talking about how in the shed, Muffy was in chains and dead in there, and you walk in to find her like that, and then no one knows who murdered her, and stuff. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) And everyone suspects that one guy, with the bushy eyebrows (who really creeped me out when I saw him). It was hilarious. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I wish they'd make AWL 2.0, where you had to figure out who murdered her. xDDD My first game was Magical Melody. :] Then I played AWL, and then ToT. I've only ever finished ToT, but I got over 50 notes in MM. My kid was a kid in AWL. That's as far as I got before I gave it back to my friend. I have a traditional name that I name my ranch. It's always Uscarme. As in, You Scare Me. Because I don't think you named your ranch in MM (or at least, I didn't realize you did), and then when I was playing AWL with my friend, and I started it for the first time, the guy was really creeping me out, and I kept saying, "You scare me, dude," over and over and over. Then he asked me what I was gonna name it, and I told him he scared me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Anyone else typically name their ranch something specific? |

My first HM was 64! And I think that's why I couldn't play AWL; 64 was so fast, and it was done in three years. I played through multiple times.
AWL seemed so incredibly slow after that. Time flow was like, five times slower, and there were ten years to play through but nothing to do... I never got past Chapter 2. It's also why I don't like the Mineral Town games. Dx They screwed up the beloved characters I've known since I was eight! Elli's not a nurse, and Gray is an unfriendly farmhand! ToT made me so happy, using the 64 versions of those characters. <3 My traditional ranch name is "The." Except in 64, when it called your ranch "The ____ Ranch." Then it was "one," no caps, so it came out as "the one Ranch." "Yeah, I run the one ranch..." (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I also have a cow named Moo, all the time. |

I started playing HM between FoMT and AWL, one for on the go, and one for at home, that was about 3 years ago.

AH I absolutely LOVED AWL. It was basically my first HM game, although I went back and played FoMT pretty soon after. I could never bring myself to sell AWL even though I've thought about it cause I never play it anymore, but it's just such a sweet, relaxing game. I always wished there were more characters, and more stuff to do, but I think I got to like chapter 4 at least so that's pretty good. There's just a calmness about that game that they haven't come close to in my opinion until ToT so far. And HM:DS was just awful, as much as I loved Leia the mermaid. I had to stop playing it cause it was obviously half-assed, and it was ruining Forget-Me-Not-Valley for me.
Oh, btw Marley just saw your post, hahaaha I always name one of my cows Moocow! Always! It makes me laugh for some reason. :3 |

Zen: (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) That would be hilarious!
And yeah, I usually name my rach random stuff, haha! In ToT I stuck to the theme of the island, which had a fruit theme. So, my ranch was Kiwi Rach! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif) |

When I can I like to name my ranch a pawprint and then a star symbol. Though since I generally can't anymore, I've been tending to name them after whatever song I was listening to at the time.

You too, Darth? I loved using the symbols in HM64. I did the same for my Animal Crossing character. "Miu-star-heart-pawprint-etc-etc." I'd have to look to know the exact characters for both games. But always Miu as the name followed by tons of prints.
On another note, I first watched the original Harvest Moon then 64 being played, but the first one I ever played myself was AWL. I somehow beat it once, but all my replays are stopped mid 2nd year. Muffy and Nami are just way boring... |

Symbols are just so much cooler when you don't have enough room for a better name.

Well, so far the date has stayed the same. With only a couple months left could it possibly stay this way? (Probably not, but you never know...)

You now how Natsume is, they push things at the last second ._.
But this time, I'm strangely hopeful for them sticking to this date, and if we do get a push-back, I feel as though it won't be a big one. Though we have already gone from September to October. |

Another cool name for a ranch would be Blue. Then it'd be Blue Ranch. Like, salad dressing? *laughs* *crickets* Okay, maybe it's just me that finds it funny...>-> *runs off*

I usually name my ranch something related to what I named my rancher, since I name my rancher after my roleplay characters. I usually name my ranch Guardian/Guardia for a boy - or Galaxy for a girl.

My character in HM64 was called Hollow Star-Filled Star-Hollow Star. My child was called Hollow Heart-Filled Heart-Hollow Heart. :3 I was eight; I couldn't think of a name.
My first ranch name didn't follow my usual naming conventions, but I don't even remember what it was. It hardly ever came up in the game. I'm still not expecting anything. Besides, I've got a lot to play between now and whenever it comes out (Pokémon SoulSilver, Rock Band: Beatles, Scribblenauts... never has a month been so awesome. When we thought AP was coming out this month, I didn't know when I was going to sleep.), so I should be able to stand the wait, soon as those things start coming out. |

I suppose.
I hope it doesn't get pushed back again.! I think I'm going to marry Pat. Which surprises me because I hated her in ToT. D: |
