I know that the series is slowly starting to add more to the series, more clothes and everything, but will they soon add more to the game?

I'd love to see a hair salon come into the game, where we can dye the character's hair and change there hairstyle. I mean, if you look at some of the hair styles the spouses have(And towns people), it kinda makes you want more interesting hair. I mean, It'd be fun to look even cooler than usual and make a character just the way you like(Maybe even eye color changing?). I think Animal March has this, but I'd love to see glasses as well.

I also would like to see skin tone options, I mean, there aren't just white people playing the game, and people sometimes find the game more enjoyable with choices like that.

What do you guys think about "Customizability"? >w>;

I thought it'd be fun.In fact, I said something just like that before. Yes, that'd be really cool.... It'd give the game more power and a reason to get popular.

Well, I'm absolutely sure EAM has glasses available. So you've got that at least. The other stuff will (hopefully) come in due time.

Most likely. Since they now give you the option to change clothes it won't be long before physical happens... ^-^

I really would like to see more physical choices. Considering it'd be more interesting. Maybe in the beginning having a choice of picking a face(It wouldn't be changable after). I would want hair the most though, looking at all the spouses of nice hair and we don't get much choice makes me jealous. =w=;

I found it kinda strange that the protagonist is almost always brunette. I think we have had one blonde (claire) and one red-head (sara). I would love to have a black or red-head protagonist once-in-a-while. Oh and please correct me if im wrong.

I think if Marvelous added more choices it might attract more people to the series.

Mark from IoH/SI is a blonde.

I'd love to be able to change my character's hair and eye color. owo But maybe just at the beginning of the game, you get to choose the colors. Otherwise the genetics would be all messed up!

Speaking of the genetics, I want kids that take after both you and your spouse. (And I want kids like in AP!) Maybe one has your hair and your spouse's eyes, and the other has your eyes and your spouse's hair. Eh?

Either way, I'm sick of being brown hair-brown eyes all the time. I want to customize!

Oh. Just thought of something. In GBC3 you could change the girl's hair color to basically anything you could work the R/G/B sliders to make. That was kinda neat.

I would like it if you could visit other towns without having to link to another game. For example, what does a city in Harvest Moon look like, anyway? I keep hearing of characters coming from the city, but I have never actually seen this city, which apparently, has no name.

About being able to fully customize the main character (skin, hair, and eye colour, height, face, etc.), I can see it, but I am not sure what the kid would look like. It may end up being similar to what happens in AWL when you breed order miracle potion for a star cow with a marble bull - a star calf.

Well, they had the city in GBC3. It'd be nice if they revisited some of these concepts, huh?

Custimation would be a great choice.... But then it WOULD take me a year to make my characters. D:
Even though the custimation would get more people playing the game.... I kind of don't want it. :o I like choosing just between guy and girl (When I get AM that is -_-') and that's it.

It'd be nice to atleast get more of a choice. It would probably make genetics more confusing, and then somehow your spouse/character gives birth to a walrus...

It's not like the hair would be flashy, it'd be stuff like...
-Two original TOT/AM style
-Long hair(Sorta like older daughter's haircut)
-Ponytail
-Pigtails
-Bun
-Curly-ish

As for boys, it may be hard to do... they'll probably get curly hair, and a short ponytail?

I wouldn't think they'd do TO much with it, but I think I just like having choices. owo;

Ya they wouldn't have to do much. As long as each persons protagonists looked somewhat unique.

Yeah, addition of a hair salon would be fuuuun... even if it's unnecessary. and it would allow a new possibility for bachelor/ettes. Since they've already added options for clothing, maybe changing hair/eye color and style/shape might be next... if MMV doesn't get lazy...

See, all the clothing options aside from accessories are just recolored textures of the default outfit. For hairstyles they would have to make multiple meshes that can be tacked on like the hats, but can't be removed/changed outside of the hair salon.

I think, maybe...like, have a salon, not necissarily have you choose at the very beginning the hairstyles. It'd be like you were going to get your hair styled and colored, but it wouldn't effect what your child would end up looking like, because it'd be the same thing if you dyed your own hair. That's the way I see it, anyway. I dunno, though. If you have the skin color choice, then some people might complain about eye shape, and then it'd all go down-hill from there...maybe, along with the salon they could add a tanning booth. >-> *is brick'd*

Do you mean like?

So let's use this as an example. There are 8 female hairstyles, 8 eye colors, and 8 hair colors. That means they'd have to make 512 different combinations?

Well, let's look at it this way, if they had these hairstyles for girls:

Short hair mesh
Semi-long hair mesh
Long hair mesh
Ponytail hair mesh
Pigtail hair mesh

That's 5 meshes right there. Guys would have another 5 meshes to choose from (like straight, spiky, wavy/bedhead, longish hair etc). Each hairstyle would have a texture added to give it color. The number of colors possible isn't really an issue, because they can just tint the textures with Photoshop once they've made one from scratch. Kind of like how the AP kids had such a great variety of hair colors while all basically looking the same. It wouldn't be very hard to have black hair, blond hair, brown hair, and red hair. In total they would have to make 40 textures for the hair, 10 meshes. They made 80 textures and 4 meshes for the AP children, so it wouldn't be that much more difficult to do hair for the protagonists.

And then if they had different shapes of eyes:
Sharp eyes (sorta like Cathy, Luke, Yuuki etc)
Droopy eyes (sorta like Kotomi, Gil etc)
Normal eyes (sorta like Leena, Takeru and so on)

Eyes are also made with textures, for the face. It wouldn't be that hard to do. Blue eyes, brown eyes, green eyes, gray eyes should pretty much cover the basics. In total they would have to make 24 textures for the face. 12 for girls and 12 for boys.

We would most likely only ever see something like this on a console game. If they ever really go through with making a Harvest Moon with interactive online capabilities, we'll probably have more customization. Along with a wardrobe system like AP, having the custom hair/face options I described above would make everyone's protagonist pretty unique. I don't even want to calculate the possible combinations because there would be too many.

Howeverrrr, it would mess things up so much if they wanted to deal with genetics, because that's where it would get complicated. They'd probably just stay with kids taking after your spouse and having a generic face to avoid having to program something really cool.

I'd prefer having my character look interesting rather than my child. The child should take after the spouse, only one child though. One is good enough in my opinion. If they wanted to do this system, it'd probably be a pain.

I do believe I would LOVE more customizable characters. In more ways than one. To set his/her personality so that he/she attracks different types of gals/guys. I'm still waiting for a playable girl character in Rune Factory >.<
