Avatar: That thing is cute. 9/10
Siggy: I like it, but the c4d lookin thingers in the bag sort of make it look a bit choppy, otherwise not bad at all. 7/10 |

Avatar- I like it, it's very cute and the edges look nice. 8/10
Signature- The set looks almost exactly like Maries, which just is a total turn off for me. Marie's looks very cute and unique, but with the exact same signature almost it steals both creative points from both set's, While I hate to say but I think that was a bad move to make for the set maker. The backround is nothing special, as it's just some chroming, gradient and not much really besides being glammed up by the fauxing edging. The sketchy little sprite in the middle, while the white sometimes works around the edges blurred, it just makes it look rather tacky. 4/10 |

Ouch. Bruised my ego, there, Mims.
I guess I'm kind of defending myself by saying this (how sad am I?), but when I'm asked to make a set that's similar to another's, it's kind of like, how are they not going to be the same? Plus, I tried making several aspects unique for both--the cutting was a different style, the size was separately done, I experimented with different overlays and texts, etc. And yes, I know the background is a cop-out Gradient + Wave + Hue application, but it's about all I can do. I'm not a background person. Also, that little sprite was the most difficult thing I have ever cut out manually with an eraser in a long time. The scan it was taken from was very bad quality, terrible color, and had very thin lines. I worked extremely hard making him look the least bit presentable in the set and am happy with the way he turned out. But at this point I'm just being really defensive because I'm kind of insulted (in the smallest way) because I feel I worked hard on that set. I'm not taking personal offense here, but as a graphic artist just lost a few confidence points. Anyway. Avatar: 7/10 -- The text seems out of balance--like the Kill is kind of too high above the other words around it and though this may add emphasis on the word, seems a tad sloppy. Sig: 9/10 -- Animation is a win. I could care less what other people say about the content of your set, Mimi; I see nothing "too bloody" or "too violent" about it--it's a red paint splatter. Not as if Mimi used her own life blood on her set. XD Plus, it's not showing anything virtually violent, just inferring it. Graphically, however, I will say the sharpness of the red lines on the right distracts me some. |

Katie, in no way am I saying you are a failure as a graphic designer. If you need help downloading new brushes, just tell me and I'll convert some to help you becuase I know you can make very good sets, and that would help with backrounds. I didn't know whether or not he asked for it, I'm just trying to say they are too similar for my liking and that takes unique-ness points off of Marie's. Maries, I thought originally, was possibly one of the cutest and best set's you've ever done. And if I got to rate it, I'd rate it very high becuase it was unique, and I very much so like Fauxing edges and the character as a focal point. Now I'm not saying ever to do that design again, I just was disapointed to see the same layout again. You do have very great ideas and can do a lot, I know you can.
Avatar - While it is rather simple, I have to admit I am pretty happy that there is no itty bitty cut off lines anywhere. Which, if read at my other ratings, I am really picky about cut outs. And I like the color purple. D: A lot. But yeah, I can see it was meant to be sweet, simple and to the point. 6/10 Signature - While I don't consider it a set-signature, since it has no graphics applied to it to the visible eye besides a soft drop shadow, I can't rate it like a normal set-signature. But, rating it on the cropping and cutting, I think it's well done and the sizing is just right to keep intact the details, and it's very cute location for the name. As a set-signature, it's a 2/10, but the cutting is done very well and rates at a high 9/10. |

Oh, no hun, I never implied that I thought you thought that; I'm not that badly hurt. XD; And I'm not really into downloading the stuff for brushes and things--I kind of like experimenting with all of my program's given tools and trying out different things without going too overboard. I mean, I'm not that seriously into the whole set-scene. I appreciate your thoughts on Marie's set--I like how it came out better than HS's anyway, if not for its softness but its well-flowing color as well. I'm aware that doing the same thing would be a risky thing in such a short time, but I kind of thought "Well hey, it's like a series or something" because it basically had the similar focal point (an EAM image) with similar strategies.
But, I do thank you for your honest criticism--I think that when too many people compliment you, then one person says some things in the opposite spectrum, you feel it worse? I'm not sure. But yeah. <3s. And I keep my ratings the same. 8D |

I like the avatar quite a bit. Its different than the normal square 100x100 avatar and I like it.
8/10 Again, its a bit unconventional, but it fits. I like how the text is slanted parallel to her leg and the purple heart ties it to the avatar without shouting "HAI! WE MATCH. SEE?" If I'm wrong about the subtly of it, just lie to me. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I also like the light shadowing. 9/10 |

Arilla,
Av: Even though the colors and theme don't match the signature, the font brings them together in a unique and surprising way. 9/10 Sig: Love the fact that it's like a painted window into the scene, very clever design work. I think something could be done with the white text on top, it's a little too bright, if you will. I would have liked to see it larger, maybe dimmed, but still legible if looked up close and inspected it further. I'm a sucker for subtlety. 9/10 EDIT: Darn you tolby. D; |

The line to the right is a little strange and out of place, maybe go back with an eraser tool and get rid of it. The font works, but its plain, BUT BUT The focus is the Harvest God, so the plain-ness works :] sig: 4/10 Busy. The background doesn't really go, and maybe only use one picture of the harvest god. the font's good, but on two of the pictures the cutting is ruff. But cutting out pics is hard and takes practice :] Keep up the good work . |

THIS. Is your best set, Happy. You just keeeeep improving. :D Again, I love the background. The only thing that I probably would've done if I were you is that I would've given your render an outline around her. :/ Anywayyyy. I love the colour, too. ♥ Keep up the great work. :D |
