So I'm cleaning up my room, throwing away old trash and things I don't need, and I came across a little white egg shaped deal in the bottom of my drawer. I pull it out, and lo and behold, it's a Tamagotchi! Now, I haven't played with this thing in ages, so I find myself a CR2032 battery and it fires right up. Now, I'm chuckling to myself because all sorts of old memories. And then I was wondering, does anyone else still have/remember their first tamagotchi?
The very first one I had was the Digimon one. That thing was so very cool. You could link them up with other Digimon ones and fight them TO THE DEATH! ... Okay, so it wasn't THAT serious, but it was still really fun. The one I have now isn't quite that cool, it's called a Tamagotchi connect, and it has a little infrared sensor on the top that you can exchange gifts with your friends. I'm sorry if this is in the wrong place, but I had a hard time figuring out what exactly a tamagotchi was. :P So feel free to move it if this isn't where it goes. Thoughts/opinions? |

Oh I loved those! I had 2 but I kept one and my mom had the other one. They always died on me though, except once I actually raised one to an adult. I also used to take them to school with me and I would hide it so the teacher wouldn't see (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)
I also had a giga pet(it was 101 dalmations because I was obssessed with the live action movie at the time, and they happened to release a limited edition giga pet that had to do with that movie) |

I remember when sister got a little orange cat one... Forgot what it was called, but it was limited edition. Anyway, she never played with it, so I stole it.. Darn, now I wish I could find it..

I had like 12 of those things. ONe with a dog which was utterly brilliant. And then some digimon versions. A random version which was eggshaped and all that kinda stuff. Man that brings back memories it was like 13 years ago if it wasn't more. darn.

In grade five they were the coolest thing ever. I never got with the trend though.
By the time I got one the teacher was taking them away whenever he saw one. So alas, I shall never know the joys of a virtual pet. *sadface* |

I am guilty of owning three tamagotchis.
;________; Like... The actual tamagotchi... Tamagotchis. I have a version 2, 3, and 4. ROFL. My version two's the one with the beach scene thing, version 3's a zebra print, and version 4's this sunflower patch thingy. D; I haven't touched them in ages, but they're right in my drawer. T__T |

Heh, I'm glad I wasn't the only one who still had mine!
HMFarmergirl19: Haha, I know what you mean about them dying all the time. This current tamagotchi hasn't been to it's oldest age yet. The only one I ever got to the final stage was my Digimon one, which became a Metal Graymon. Lol. It was so awesome though. He was the man. But now they're virtually impossible to find. Ryuujin: Heh, I know what you mean. When I pulled mine out it was like a wave of memories washed over me. So now I'm playing with mine again. I know I was in grade school when they first became popular. I can't remember exactly how old I was, but it was definitely a long time ago. FarmerChic: Haha oh man. I remember our teachers HATED us for having them. They seriously couldn't stand those things. They'd try and take ours until the end of the year, but we snuck in and stole them back. Heh. The good ol' days. Co'coa: That is absolutely fantastic you still have yours, and multiple generations, at that! Alas, mine is the newer Tamagotchi Connect, but it is the first generation of them. Too bad no one else around me plays with them because my friends list on that thing is empty. Ah well. Such is life, it seems. You should fire one up again sometime. Haha. |

I remember my first one! Well, and my only one.
It was a green one and it had a frog. I loved it so much! Then it ran out of batteries and I lost it or something. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) |

There was a big thing of these back in Grade like 3 or 4. But, I never was interested. Wee! Take care of a virtual animal! I was taking care of real dogs then.

I originally had a Nano Cat, then I got a Tamagotchi when they went down to just $5. My brother bought a Digimon :P

I had a bunch of Tamagotchi-type things.
I had one purple tamagotchi, a eight-in-one with things like a dog, a cat, and whatnot, one that was just a cat - I forget what that one was called, a pikachu one, and two or three digimon ones. I think I had one or two others that I can't remember - I've lost pretty much all of them. I had trouble with the tamagotchi because I didn't get up at seven in the morning like that stupid thing did. -_- I always had a big, virtual mess to clean up. |

I had one that was like...a duck or something like that. And it would poop a lot and there would be a wall of poop on the side of the screen. D:

The poop walls are awful. Mine is starting to become a pain. I remember now why I let the batteries die. :D Hahaha.
