Yeah okay, it doesn't release for another year but it is going to be so amazing. Also they're filming parts of it up at my university tomorrow and the next day.
Here are some photos for it. The Mad Hatter (mr. depp) looks delightfully creepy. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1014759/mediaindex |

Well, that'll be interesting.
Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter . . . who else? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) He just loves those crazy roles. |

Damn, that's a pretty impressive cast and crew. There's no possible way it could be bad.

I saw the trailer on the night it came out on youtube, and I went to search it again and now it's unavailable in my area. But now it works again? Weird.
Anyways, I am SO EXCITED that it is in 3d. That's so sweet. |

I've known about this for quite a long time now and am extremely excited for it. Everyone here knows I love Alice in Wonderland.
The only disappointing point about this is Anne Hatthaway... Also, is her character even from the original movie/book?? I also don't find her to be the best actress. Buuuut, I'M SURE I WILL LOVE IT NO MATTER WHAT. |

Is Matt Lucas in this?
Wait, it's being directed by TIM BURTON?! *kills self* Tim Burton is massively overrated. :( But this should still be awesome :D |

Yes her character is part of the book(sort of) The White Queen originated in Through the looking glass(Which is the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland). Here's some links that explains about the White Queen and the sequel to Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Through the Looking Glass. The White Queen Through the Looking Glass |

Ah I see. I couldn't remember her character.
I just hope he doesn't turn it into what he did with the remake of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory which I didn't enjoy at all. I loved the original but he used way too much CGI. |

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is the kind of movie that didn't need a remake. It's like when someone tries to cover a really good song and well, maybe it sounds alright, but it's still shit compared to the original. I think the better way to do it is to remake shitty movies/songs and make them awesome (usually requires a lot of liberties).
Anyway the movie has Alan Rickman and Stephen Fry in it, how can it go wrong? |

Eh I don't think Tim Burton is overrated at all. To be overrated you have to suck and people will like you... people like him but he definitely doesn't suck.
Did you read the book at all? Because Tim Burton actually followed the book unlike the first movie, while adding in the parts about his childhood. (For Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.) And Through the Looking Glass is one of my all time favourite movies but I'm having the hardest time finding it anywhere. Online, in moviestores, it's ridiculous. We used to watch it at my grandparent's house but yeah, can't find it. Definitely there was a white queen though. I don't think we watched the one you posted though. And Idlers, it's in 3d... if you don't want CG then you're not going to like this movie, haha. Over half of the trailer was computer graphics! |

I don't mind when a movie strays from how the book goes as long as it's still a good movie. The Chocolate Factory remake was just up against a classic that had long established it's awesomeness and I couldn't shake the idea of comparing them. Not to say it doesn't deserve any merit, but if I wanted to introduce someone to the story by showing them a movie, I'd go with the Gene Wilder one.
