I dont know why but I'm kinda depressed that EAM hasn't got its own spin-off anime. I think the story is good enough to base an anime arround... or you could pull away from the games story and set it in an "alternate universe". Many other popular games like Animal Crossing and Idolm@ster have animes which are both good, even if sometimes not accurate to the game... or have no referance to the game at all.
I WANT ANIME AND I WANT IT NAO *Tantrums* \(>_<)/ NYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! |

If EAM had a show, this would be its opener.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Hu-L2mseUg...feature=related More of the second part than the first, but it's so fun to watch them dance at the beginning! Or this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RadMVY5hfTM But that's more for if it was the whole Harvest Moon series... |

Do Husbands carry on working after marrage (If they did before)? Wives stop and just take care of the family and go shopping during the day, but if you dont make your husband do farmwork does he go to his place of employment?

Yes, if you do not ask for help on the farm before 8am, they will go about their business like any other day. But I thought the wives also kept their jobs in this one. I could, however, be mistaken.

The wives still go to work, I thought. All of the girls in rival marriages still go to their place of employment or go visit their families, though maybe not as often (and some of the girls didn't really have jobs to begin with, like Leena). And I'm pretty sure when I married Roomi she went to Flute Tailoring some days out of the week.
Husbands still go to their jobs, if you don't tell them to stay home and be your working slave that day. |

I haven't played in like a week but I'm pretty sure my wife, Kotomi, doesn't go to work.

In ToT all wives work 1 day a week on the day their place of work is closed (Exept Selena) but In EAM its rare to see your wife go to work, even when the shop is shut like in ToT. Some shops only shut on festivals (The Inn, The Bar) and after marrage Kathy and Mai (Not sure about Selena as she isn't married in my game yet) are never seen in their places of employment when they are open.

Personally, I'm not, I don't know why I would buy the same game twice :P
There are so many other games I'm planning on getting this fall/winter anyway, like RF3, FFXIII, and Heart Gold, and I won't have the money to buy AP again. (and I never use my English Wii anymore) |

That makes sense. Plus, you're pretty good at reading Japanese anyway, so it wouldn't make any difference if you played the English version.

I'm buying the English, but that's because I want to know what everyone's saying. I don't speak/read a speck of Japanese. I'm obsessive about unlocking everything, so I want all of the trophies. So far in the Japanese version I'm having quite a bit of trouble. I just think the English version would be easier. Because I don't know Japanese.
But if I did know Japanese, why would I need the English version? Unless it was to compare and see all of the terrible translations and editing they did... |

I probably will buy the Engish version but not play it... I understand a fair amount of the game and am currently playing it quiet well, however when you think about it, it's not actually a Harvest Moon game when its Japanese... Its Bokujyou Monogatari. I know this is a technicallity but I can't claim superiority of my knowlage of Harvest Moon games if I do not own them all... AND I MUST BE SUPERIOR TO THE PEOPLE WHO I KNOW EXIST WHO ARE WAITING TO CHALLENGE ME KNOWLAGE... YOU SHALL BE DEFEATED IMAGINARY, REAL PEOPLE!
I think its more of an issue as a fan rather than a gamer... Its good to be a nerd! ( ^_^;) |

I don't have an American Wii so I can't get the English version but even if I did, I still wouldn't get the English version. It'd be a waste to buy the same game again and I don't like how Natsume makes needless name changes.
