I'm a dude and I don't mind playing as a girly character. I would prefer a more masculine character, and I would rather have the choice between two very distant characters,(One obviously male and one obviously a girl.) but I don't associate myself with the character when I play these games I am the character.

I think the new main is adorable. He doesn't really look like a girl to me, more like he looks like he's 10-13 years old.

I can't read everything on the scans, some text is too small or covered up (it will take more time to translate because of that... I'm tired...), but here's what I could make out:

Release Date: October 2009

Chocola (heroine)
Daughter of the restaurant keeper, loves food but maintains a small size. She is childhood friends with Marion.

Marion (heroine)
An aspiring witch studying under her grandmother.

Rusk
Chocola's little brother. He loves sweets and dreams of becoming a pastry chef.

Gluten
Father of Chocola and Rusk, a professional chef.

Marjory
Marion's grandmother, a witch doctor.


Active Seed:
Jack - Active Seed that eats up and deals damage/status effects to other monsters.
Leaf Slider - Active Seed that allows you to glide across water.
Watering Grass - Acts like a portable water source so you can water crops anywhere.



I noticed a funny thing in one of the game screencaps, though...

Wow, nice job finding/interpreting those scans. ^^ I saw a poll at a Japanese fan website asking which character in RF3 you liked the best so far, and I was confused at most of the poll choices, since they were...characters I did not recognize. Now I know where the webmaster got his info. ^^

Chocola eerily reminds me of a cross between Julia (from RF2) and Maya (ToT) for some reason... She seems to speak in all kana (like Julia) and loves food with a passion (like Maya) and she seems a bit...ditzy (like both of them).

So I am SO excited now. I decided to mentally prepare myself by replaying all three of the other ones. I'm gonna try and beat the main storylines before October. :D RF3 in Japense is SO on my wish (Download) list!

Persia works at the bath house.
Ion is a boyish girl with an older brother named Carlos, and it seems Carlos has some kind of fishing business that she likes to help out with. She gets along really well with her brother.

And then it seems like Klurufa (green-haired girl w/horn) and Ondorfa (white-haired guy? with horn) have something to do with the monsters. It says next to Ondorfa "a place where humans and monsters are equal!?" or something to that effect. They'll probably play an important role in the plot. Some of the text by Klurufa is cut off and hard to read.

Then there's Zeze, a dwarf who seems to hate people for whatever reason?

Well, those are surprising character designs.. But Persia looks cool, I suppose.

Rusk and Ondorfa (hurray! It's a guy!) make me really unhappy there's still no female protagonist, unfortunately :E

Kururufa/Klurufa looks a lot prettier in the artworks than she does in-game... it doesn't list her as a heroine candidate in the article, however. She might be a secret candidate or something.
