This reminds me how well this game's story was presented... I'm not usually much of a story guy when it comes to videogames, but I have to admit that this game does it right. Especially at the end... I don't want to spoil anything, but I'll just say that it hit me as the player at a very emotional and personal level. Made me realize how well video games (or interactive arts) can be as a storytelling device if done correctly.

Been busy these last few days so I've neglected the Super Duster Adventure. But back to it!
Alright so I took the secret passageway, and there were a whole bunch of leeches and lobsters in there, but other than that nothing interesting. Anyway, we're out! (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/MagicPants/Mother3_03-2.png) (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/MagicPants/Mother3_04.png) Ok we're in, though it looks like the thing we saw before was indeed dropping crap on the already dilapidated castle. (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/MagicPants/Mother3_05-1.png) Heading inside, there's a mysterious painting that keeps looking my way and a large statue holding a large metal orb. Without putting much thought into it, I ram the statue. (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/MagicPants/Mother3_07-1.png) (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/MagicPants/Mother3_09.png) Couldn't quite get a picture of it but the metal orb totally fell and made a hole in the floor. I jump down and found a conveniently placed scalable wall, which I stapled up for easy access. Oh neat, a present. (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/MagicPants/Mother3_12-2.png) Egad, I've been tricked! A ghost was inside and burped in my face, causing me to get sick. Fortunately, there was a mint in a nearby present that made me fell better. As I explore the castle further, I find some jerk ghosts and spiders giving me some grief, but with the use of the thief tools and some well placed boot-to-the-heads, they go down easy. Eventually I stumble upon a room with some easy-going ghosts and what appears to be stuff for sale. (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/MagicPants/Mother3_16-2.png) The ghost highly recommends the Rope Snake, with his awesome rope-like abilities in the cool form of a live snake. For the price of 1 rotten eclair, I purchase the Rope Snake. [Got the Rope Snake!] (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/MagicPants/ropesnake.jpg) Friends forever! Back to the search. However, it's not long into my continuation that I encounter the coolest room in the castle. While I'm here I can swipe some eclairs from the table for more trading with the other ghosts. Moving on, there's another scalable wall for me to climb, so up I go. Up ahead, as I approach a staircase, a strange girl drops from the ceiling and runs off ahead, but drops something. (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/MagicPants/Mother3_13-1.png) (IMG:http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y133/MagicPants/Mother3_14-2.png) [Picked up a pendant!] I keep moving in hopes that I might track her down and talk to her or something. But ahead, what do I find but some kind of ghost conductor who seems to be conducting a song that is shaking the whole room and causing some objects to go flying around. He throws chairs, candlesticks, everything but the kitchen sink at me. Yeah, basically, stuff came up for Lindstrom and now my internet has been killed because some idiot blew all my bandwidth so I can't have the required infinity pictures per post. I have no idea when this will get going again, but hopefully it won't be too long. Hopefully. Satellite internet sucks. =\

Fix'd. And it sorta is, because it could've just been a random background thing, but having you actually play through Salsa's torture just helps me hate the villains a bit more. Talk about cruel. Also, I need to check out recording options in VBA... some of these events just don't go well in screenshot form (like the one above) and I feel weird about using other people's and being too lazy to ask. Not that there should be a problem, but still.
and yeah, finding fan art for so many moments in the game is fun. What's un-fun was how there was practically nothing for this chapter though. I have so much stuff for chapter 6 I don't even NEED screenshots though. |

I'm still experimenting with recording stuff, I recorded the opening for the next chapter earlier today but youtube had a problem with it or something and now it won't do uploads. So, instead, I'm gonna pad out the few extra posts to take us to page 3 so I don't have to load the whole dang thing of this page every time I do the chapter 4 stuff.
