I didn't like the structured-ness of it, either. You WILL get married after the first year or you will FAIL THE GAME. Phooey.
Nor did I enjoy not waking up at 6:00 on the dot every morning. Or the fact that there were only three marriage candidates. Or the size of the plots of land to grow crops. Or that one bag of seeds planted one crop (I remember planting my crops in 3x3 squares, just for the familiarity). Or that you were forced to eat (Phooey on realism!).
However, I did like that your kid never ran around in a silly-looking mouse suit. Sure, their hat looked silly, but at least it wasn't a mouse. The fact that he grew up was pretty cool, too, I suppose. Though I never got that far.

It's mostly just that after a while it got boring. I mean, I tried to get addicted to it, but I just couldn't. Scared me for a while, 'cause I started to think that there may never be a Harvest Moon as fun and addictive as HM64.
But then there was Magical Melody, and all was right with the world. (ToT was better by a longshot, though. Kept everything that worked with AWL and MM and threw out the stuff that didn't.)

Yeah. I think the age limit of ToT was good. AWL went too long, and MM didn't go long enough for their ages (seriously. I started to run out of my house whenever I saw my baby cry because he/she/it fell down from walking. I got tired of having to pick it up and make it stop crying. Well, I'd either run out of the house or put it in its crib. xP

Where do you live that didn't get Swine Flu? I thought it was everywhere here, to some degree.

Oh, they will definitely fall. And soon, if they keep going in the direction they're going.
It's a fun thing to picture being on the news. "The rioters are mostly female, and continuously shout something about a Chase... even though it doesn't look like anyone in the building is attempting to run away..."

Ahh, I know, that got so annoying. The baby didn't have a gender, either, which just weirded me out. I named it Taylor. xP
The kids in ToT are wonderful, though. At the perfect age where they can walk and talk on their own, but still so cute you want to squeeze their faces off! My kid's hilarious, too.

The child system in EAM is just amazing, though. I can't wait to get it.
I wonder if there will be any sibling rivalry events between the two kids. Oooh.

I can't decided whether I want 2 daughters or a son with my older daughter. I have decided that I'm having an older daughter no matter what, but whether I want to go with the "perfect family" or have another daughter, but the second daughter doesn't look that cute...

When you do the circus quest, do you have to go back to theodore everytime you finish 1 animal?

I didn't like a Magical Melody AT ALL! As soon as my wife had her baby, I quit. I hated the style of that game so much lolz.

I still haven't gotten my kid to grow up fully in ToT. He's on the last stage. I dunno, I just got bored of ToT. It didn't have much to do. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Did this happen to anyone?

I really disliked AWL, mostly because it is the ONLY harvest moon game I've never finished. I've made it to the third chapter, and then I just can't do it anymore. Too boring.

On a different note, on EAM I have no idea if my child was a girl or a boy. I don't read Japanese.
