Hey, do you get to have part-time jobs in this game like in ToT?

That was always an easy way to make a little extra money early in the game, and the friendship boosts didn't hurt either.

Aw, no fun! LOL! I remember that I kept working at On The Hook cuz you could work there the longest and make more money, and I was shocked and confused as to why Toby had suddenly showed up on my doorstep with a fish. LOL!

Wow, IGN finally put September 2009 on their main page description thing for HM:AP. They also have box cover art.
And apparently you can rent it on Gamefly, lol.

Natsume's E3 catalogue says the game will be released in September, too. How exciting!

I guess removing the part-time jobs was one of the ways of making this game a bit more difficult in the side of befriending and wooing.

I couldn't finish the main storyline in ToT becuase I found the rainbows to tedious to make. The fact that you go through a series of events and challenges in AP instead makes it more appealing, with the only recipe you need to complete being for the New Game+.

For you all that have EAM, do you like the way it is in this game more? Is it more difficult? Easier?

Well, for me it seems more difficult because I can't read Japanese. As for gameplay, it depends which part. Befriending animals is way more easy. Making money is easier (but everything's more expensive). Wooing people seems a little harder. You can't just rely on talking to someone every day to get you anywhere.

I think it's a better game just because of the fact that there's more to do, the graphics are better, and the customization for you and your kids is better.

As for easier or more difficult, I think it's definitely a step up in difficulty from ToT, but in an exciting kind of way. It's not harder to complete the story mode par say, but if you want to unlock everything you're going to be playing for awhile.

Speaking of, does anyone know if your trophies transfer over to the next game when you restart? In ToT when you started over as your kid, all of your recipes and lists transferred over, too. I haven't finished my first game, so I don't know.

If it doesn't, I'll be peeved.

Customizing your kids seems like a real plus for me.

Does anyone know how many hearts I need to have with someone before they'll let me into their house in the mornings?

'Cause I'm wooing Juli, he has 3 hearts with me, but I have to wait until he goes to the Accessory shop because he won't let me into his house while he's in it. >:

I like the different outfits. But no, from what I've heard, it doesn't transfer over. But I could be wrong! I'm not positive, but I'm just going by my memory and it's telling me it doesn't. (Of course, with my memory, you'd be better off just asking a magic 8 ball...>-> )

Sometimes they still don't let you in very early in the morning, though.

Nope, they never let you in before 8. The only exeption is the fishing company which opens very early.

And wow everyone's exited about dressing up the kids? Its a nice touch, but I don't think it should be your hilight of the game...

The highlight of the game for me was riding my cow. That was just hilarious. Well, the first few times, anyway.

I'm excited about the new crops, and the recipe additions! Yeah, and the riding all the farm animals, although it pretty much makes the horse and ostrich pointless, except if you like speed.

But I hate the fact that you can only have 3 different species in your barn, now you can't have at least one of everything just in case...

Once you find all the circus animals you can virtually warp anywhere anyway, and you don't even really need the horse. Unless you want to sell babies. But it takes sooo long to get them high enough hearts to make any kind of profit. Raising horses just isn't profitable.

I'm excited about having 2 different kids, but as for the dressing them up, I'm more worried about what I look like. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

It's cool that it actually serves a purpose. You can make a bunch of money selling those shining silk threads you get if you win the fashion contest during New Year Eve's festival.

Holy cow, shining silk threads?? I don't think I've even ever gotten a perfect cocoon from my silk worm on ToT! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/weirdsmile.gif) And then if you grew a bunch of blue herbs so you could dye it blue and get even more?? *passes out from all the Gold*

Actually, they changed the selling prices of things in EAM, so I would definitely not dye shining silk threads. I would probably only dye the decent and maybe the good ones, after that they sell more if you just leave them as cocoons.
