^ I have not caught one, Nor do I think I ever will lol >_<
Tools are diffrent from ToT. For example the watering can, When you level up, you can water more spaces, and when you upgrade it's material it wastes less stamina. But in EAM The level up feature doesn't feel like it has any effect... I HATE UPGRADING TOOLS T_T |

I thought I heard that in EAM it's like, the opposite of ToT. So in ToT, when you get a level up you can water more squares, and when you upgrade the tool it uses less stamina, and then in EAM when you get a level up it uses less stamina and then when you upgrade your tool you can water more squares? Is that right? So in theory, I could never level up, yet have a golden watering can and water, like 6 squares at once and only be on level 1?

Possibly, But the stamina decreace is barly noticable, I'm on Level 4 with a Silver Watering Can, and It kinda decreases the same amount as when I was on Level 3... It may be noticable if you really, really focused, or perhaps if there were actual percentages or figures we could compare it may seem more noticable...
I decided to go on my Wii today, and I don't think my dad really cared >_< And I just Noticed something, Roy was born a few weeks ago and today Van was born, and I just compared the two, and it hit me... Rival babies resemble their parent's. I thought it was just your child which resembled it's parent, and the maggot babies of rivals were all generic, but Van has cute little black hair and red eyes, and Roy is Ose coloured... I felt quite proud of the prgramers! |

That stinks...
but I read somewhere that there are goddess level tools too, (on Ushi no Tane, I think) so maybe you need that... or that dang jelly fish is just reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally rare And the rival kids... yes, yes they do look like their parents :D |

Well in the official guide book it says something about the Skull Jellyfish, but I can't quite make it out because I don't know Japanese Kanji/Katakana/Hiragana that well. I translated most of the guide, but the Kanji is still difficult for me. I THINK it said to have a Gold/Silver Rod and to only charge it 2 times before casting the lure into the water, buuut then again I'm not that good at interpreting. Blargh...I guess I'll just try the Goddess upgrade and see if that works @_@;

From all of the talk you guys do about Japanese, I'm beginning to come to the conclusion that Kanji is the hardest to translate?

Well from the looks of it, I say Kanji is the most difficult. ( At least for me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ; ).
When I first got this game, I had NO clue what I was doing, because I didn't know how to read Japanese at all. Thanks to Ranch Story, Ushi no Tane, and the wiki (which I had translated to English by Google <-- horrible translator lmao) I was able to finish the storyline with no problems. I bought the game guide for the heck of it and translated it for myself (thank god for the pictures in the book (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ) and that has helped me a lot too. Because of the game and the guide, I know a LOT more Katakana now, which is awesome :D |

Lol I love Kanji! It near impossible for a non-fluent person to translatelate every single Kanji on a screen (And on a book it is probably only a tiny fraction better, So WELL DONE ^ Lol), but when you can translate the odd one it makes you feel so much smarter!
Lol and I hate the font they use on the game! It's too small >_<! I can't tell the B's and P's apart... It is just a tiny blob T_T... |

I don't like kanji... :(
But if I did know some, I would feel smarter..... Kanji's the next thing I gotta learn (or try my best to) |

I'm taking Japanese and I have to say, yes Kanji is the hardest to learn, but it is crucial to learn it., because alot of words sound and are spelled the same( in hiragana ) so you would have no idea what they are meaning unless they use the kanji. I think it's a lot easier to read a page with kanji in it then just plain hiragana. And Kanji isn't as difficult as it seems imo :3
@Zen Clarke: I've never taken French, but I know that with any language you're bound to forget it if you don't use it often. My Japanese teacher's granddaughter took Japanese for 3 years, but she doesn't remember most of it because she rarely uses it. :3 I don't think anyone can be fluent in a language after taking a course unless they're very passionate about the language and use it as often as they can. I took Spanish for a year and couldn't remember anything, I just really had no desire to learn it, so I dropped it and decided to take Japanese instead ^^ Anywho, I think it's easier waiting for the game after already waiting so long (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) The longer the wait, the easier it gets somehow...it doesn't really make sense though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I guess because I've kinda put it in the back of my mind since I know it'll be forever until it comes out, and I've been preoccupying myself with other games, like LOTRO ^^ I'll probably be more excited/impatient when it gets announced though :3 hehe |

^You say that you don't need it now ... But you shall feel diffrently... soon *Dark lighting and Spooky Music* MUAHAHAHA
And I agree with what you said bout needing to be passionate but even then it's hard... I have been going to my Japanese teacher for nearly a year (She's already planning summer homework... That will be some homework if she's thinking of it 3 months in advance T_T) I really like it and She's really good ^_^ ! But she also teaches a business man who does business in Japan regularaly... He's been going for 5 years and he says he still finds it baffleing. I am now nervous that I will never be able to read uncecored manga (America Ruines it for the rest of us T_T) or Propperly play a Harvest Moon game in Japanese... Is life even worth living... Wow! Questioning life over Manga and Video Games... HOW OTAKU (Lol)! (THIS IS IMPORTANT, NOT WAFFLE SO YOU MUST READ!)Where is the Penguin? I have look all over and I can't find him (Or her) WHERE CAN YOU BE MY PENGUIN PAL!? |

At first I thought the Penguin was only in Winter time but apparently its on the island!
Take the boat, and when you get off the dock immediately go south down a rocky path and you shall find your penguin pal~ Hope that helped. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ; |

I have look all over and I can't find him (Or her) WHERE CAN YOU BE MY PENGUIN PAL!? Hahaha (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Yeah, even when you're passionate it is still hard (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) especially all the different verb forms etc That is killing me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) The hardest part about Japanese for me would have to be all the different verb/adjective forms and when or when not to use them. I mean I can read a sentence in Japanese and understand it, but ask me to come up with my own sentence and it's over (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Hehe that kinda sounds like me, I've been going to my Japanese teacher for almost a year now as well and I really enjoy it as well ^^ She makes it very easy to understand Kanji by explaining how some look like certain things and etc. It's nice actually having a person teach you because then you also get to learn about the culture and stuff ^^ Wow! 5 years? That is a bit discouraging ^^; but he probably understands most of it, but still finds it quite baffling..at least I hope that's what it means (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I know one of my teacher's previous students who took it for 3 years and then took a trip to Japan and she was able to get along fine, so there is still hope! ^^ Hehe I actually just learned that "Otaku" means "somebody else's house" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I'm sure it probably has another meaning, but that's the only one I've learned so far :3 |

Gah Lol I looked for the penguin... Not there...
FINE I SHALL NOT BE IT'S FRIEND! Ungreatful Bird! THE SNAKE IS NOW MY PET!!!! I have the white rabbit, the black cat and the snake! When I get the next house upgrade I was going to have the penguin, but now I think I'll have Mama Bear... Poor Baby Bear... I think Luke hates Mai... He swings his axe around outside his house at about 4-ish till late on sunny days, so while on a walk with my wife I stoped for a minuet to pick up something my Rabbit found (GREEN HERBS ROCK) and Luke smashed his axe straight into Mai... Thank goodness she's a game character in a peacful little game... It's not the first time he's done it, and I don't really mind since he is my 5th best friend (WHAT AN HONUOR)... Why doesn't the game have a police force >_< Lol |

I am going to finally get that freaking Border Collie this time.
I tried in ToT... but going up and giving him 2 milks a day for about two or three seasons only finally got him one heart.. dang it, be my friend!!!! (It's easier in EAM to get pets right?) I also want: -Black Shiba -Beagle -Cat Wow... so ordinary...... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) And maybe that's too many dogs.... Not that I don't like any of the other animals.... it's just that... I wouldn't want them as pets..... The turtle is awesome. |

It's way to easy to make pet friends. I haven't given the Begal anything, at all... ever... I hate it so much for some reason, but just talking to it for a few days has allready got me on 4 hearts. It's not even there in winter, so virtually in two seasons with no gifts has gained me 2 hearts. I think I got my first pet (The white rabbit) before the end of the spring season, and it's only there on sunny days in spring and summer. Plus there are very few animals who don't like wild items, so just keep giving your pet friend mushrooms, wild herbs and wild berries and it'll be yours before the end of the season.
Oooo and I found the pengiun... It's slightly boring T_T And it's not fair! I wan't more pets T_T... I want the white rabbit, black cat, white cat, Orange cat, snake, frog, Baby Bear, Mama Bear, Penguin, Border Collie, Sheba, Tortiose, Squirrle, Baby Boar and a Weasle! |
