Are they still actually PLANNING on it? I didn't know The Wicker Man was that old. (Oh apparently I was thinking of the new one. Wow, it always feels so weird when I don't know that a new movie wasn't the original. I feel like I'm a terrible person for a little bit. In my defense I don't watch a lot of movies...)

Haha. I looked up those books and my hunch was correct, she published the first book in 1980 and apparently is still writing the last one. I think she got really sick though?

I have a few favorite books, actually.

First one worth mentioning is The Hobbit. I even sorta like it a little more than LOTR...

Next would be Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (and the subsequent books).

I liked the Harry Potter series, but my favorite was Prisoner of Azkaban.

I also absolutely loved Of Mice and Men when my 11th-grade class read it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

^ Very good books to like. Also, very cute signature!

Finished Man of La Mancha play.. Loved it. I had to watch the movie too to write a movie review on it and I loved it too. The song Impossible Dream makes me want to cry haha. I want to see it on stage sometime... Will have to check ticketmaster :P

but GREAT books are the ones that you're forced to read in school."

I'd have to dissagree. Not entirely though, don't hurt me! The Odyssey, Romeo and Juliet, Antigone, Julius Casaer, The Great Gatsby, Farenheit 451, ect, all of those are fantastic books! However, last year we had to do a book report, and my group was interested in this one book. So one of us goes home, looks it up and some other books up to see what they're about, and it turns out the book is about a girl who is raped by her father and gets pregnant and has a kid! How the heck is that appropriate, OR classic???

Anyway, THE BEST series is coming to an end this May. Percy Jackson & The Olympians 5: The Last Olympian. It's so depressing. But on Febuary 13th (I think, it may be some other day in Febuary), 2010 they're coming out with The Lightening Thief movie! I just hope they don't screw it up like they've been doing more recently with books turned into movies.

Also, another favorite is The Last Apprentice series. It's also becoming a movie, but for when it and the fifth book comes out is unknown...for now. *shifty eyes*

I also REALLY loved Graceling. It was so epic.

Anyone read any of the above books?

I had to read Through the Looking Glass in seventh grade for an English project. I didn't get it at ALL. It was so confusing. Does anyone else get it? Or am I just naive?
