I think this is the only way to get a ores in this game, other than buy it from people.
I tried this mini game already, its quite easy after you know what to do :)

And playing this game ( OR you can say it PART TIME JOB) you can earn 500G+ some limestone!!!!
A lot more than PT in Kazan (BOB)'s ranch -100G + Milk , or Martha's -50G

Yes, you'll get money, for at least 300G and the rest is depends on how many valuable ores you collected.
You only can do this part time job for 5 times ( the one that I know, because after the 5th time, you'll be able to use the mine anytime you like)

And yes, you need to do the minigame, because from breaking the stones itself where you can find your ores.
(I think the point of this game is to break the stones with the least amount of energy used)
