I'm gonna disagree with you. if they HADN'T failed us we wouldn't have to be sending in copies to get them fixed in the first place AND we would already be in possesion of EAM or be close to that. but no. no announcement of any games except Frantic Farming. they're failures. end of story. on a plus note: (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif) there's a smiley face Whoo... Point taken, but you know, put a positive spin on things. Maybe Marvelous will realize what's happening to one of their brightest franchises and hand the next round of Havest Moon games to XSEED. Ah, we can dream... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalacry.gif) |

youre one of the few people who are looking realistically then. but on the plus side, XSeed is doing great. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif) RFF came out a month later, and were gonna get in in America somewhere around a year before we get EAM. all cuz natsume is working on dumb titles like Frantic Farming. it's a shame. if they cared they're be done with SSaF and working on the next couple opposed to not even announcing SSaF I'm gonna disagree with you. if they HADN'T failed us we wouldn't have to be sending in copies to get them fixed in the first place AND we would already be in possesion of EAM or be close to that. but no. no announcement of any games except Frantic Farming. they're failures. end of story. on a plus note: (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif) there's a smiley face That's a little harsh... They could've never fixed the bug at all. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about XSeed taking over the HM franchise. I mean, yeah it'd be great, we'd get the games sooner and all. But I wonder what Natsume would do then, since HM seems to be their biggest money-maker. Yeah, I know Natsume hasn't been the best when it comes to localizations, but I'd still feel bad if the company went under. Especially since it isn't exactly the best time for something like that to happen. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasad.gif) |

Why didn't XSeed work on EAM? It would be out much faster than at the rate Natsume is going

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasad.gif) I see what youre saying. they have other little titles and whatnot. but HM is their only big one. but I feel that they need to prove they deserve the HM games. and if they dont, which they DEFINATELY have not, they do deserve to be let go. id think they were doing good if we got EAM a month ago (XSeeds speed.) But no. they havent even made announcements for EAM let alone announcements for SSaF. obviously theyre not even trying to keep the HM franchise. and I know what I say is harsh. but sometimes theres no other way of putting it. |

True again. I just don't know, part of me wants to agree with you wholeheartedly, while the other part wants to give Natsume the benefit of the doubt and hope that they'll be more reliable... |

True again. I just don't know, part of me wants to agree with you wholeheartedly, while the other part wants to give Natsume the benefit of the doubt and hope that they'll be more reliable... I understand what you mean. Natsume has been my buddy ever since I started playing HM. and in a way I feel that it is a part of HM and all they need is a little push of motivation. but no one is there to give them that push. and if no one is going to do that, then the only other option is switching. |

I'm a little attached to Natsume (I mean, I remember those big blue letters popping up on my TV when I was seven. That was half my life ago). I know that Harvest Moon wouldn't feel exactly the same without them (I mean, I love it when my husband starts randomly spouting Japanese), but if someone steps in who can translate it not only faster but with less mistakes, I'll accept that with open arms.

._. uhhhh.... so, what is this "XSeed" you all speak of? *runs away, ashamed* They're another company like Natsume that localizes games 'n stuff--they worked on Rune Factory Frontier, for example. They seem to be much faster and better at translating the games than Natsume has been, which is why we're mostly hoping that they take over completely. |

Because Natsume is still in charge.
The only way I can see XSeed taking over anytime soon is if Natsume is forced to let go of the HM franchise, or if XSeed buys them out or something. I doubt they'll just relinquish it so easily. >.> |

*sigh* but XSeed is so much better than Natsume! Why can't Natsume just walk away in shame and let XSeed take over??

*sigh* but XSeed is so much better than Natsume! Why can't Natsume just walk away in shame and let XSeed take over?? because HM is the only big money maker that Natsume has. ya they suck miserably and are complete failures but theyre not gonna give it up unless theyre forced to. which is unfortunate for us because look how good XSeed did. RFF came out a month after EAM, they set one release date for it 4 months in the future, and kept that deadline. Natsume has had EAM for 5 months and hasn't even announced progress. it took them a year and a half just to do ToT which had typos, mistakes, and major glitches. |

Ugh. It makes you think, are they all lazy bums who do nothing all day or is it one guy who holds the whole team up and tells them not to work on what they need to?
Maybe if they got more games out and actually pleased customers *cough* like XSeed *cough*, they wouldn't be the failiars we percive them as. |

That makes me think of during the TAKS test, of how there's always ONE person who takes until the last five minutes of school to finish it, and you're about ready to hit them over the head with a brick so you can FINALLY talk...hmm...maybe if we hit Natsume over the head with a brick....

Not a hard hit. Just those ones you see in movies where they slap someone and it like jolts them and they do what they're supposed to.
