I've been entertaining the thought of learning some Japanese myself, but I dunno...I tend to have a rather short attention span when it comes to such things; I could barely bring myself through Spanish. ._.

I've never played any of the Puzzle de Harvest Moon games. What are they like?

^^ -_-' I'm not sure why, but it kinda shocked me that it took so long...

...January next year. Wow, yeah, I think it's about time I go back to teaching myself Japanese (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalacry.gif)

Haha, they probably don't even do that much (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) the jerks!
I don't see the point of bothering with the puzzle de harvest moons. They annoy me to no end -_o I wonder who actually buys it and plays it for longer than a few weeks...

I've always wanted to learn Japanese.... I took a class in the eighth grade.... and I was going to this year, but it didn't work with my schedule... :(
But I'm definitely taking a class next year

Oh, actually, if you count it from when it was released, it'll be December this year (I wan counting from March)
But you can never know...

yes, they annoy me too...
I don't know if anyone does... maybe little kids

I haven't really played them either... except I played a demo on their website...
I mean, I guess it's fun if you like puzzle games......

I was teaching myself japanese up until about two years ago :|
I've given up on spanish, my brain can't handle it >_<

I haven't either -_o they remind me of tetris / jewel quest though...

(Happy St. Patty's day (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif) )

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/weirdsmile.gif) lucky. I wish my school would quit being so cheap and actually teach something other than spanish and french...

That would be nice if they could release it sometime this year, although we all know natsume isn't so great with timing... Either way, all we can do is hope they'll finish it by St. Patty's day next year (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalacry.gif)

Yeah, I actually don't think I know anyone that's ever bought the game before. Im gonna have to go along with your guess that it's younger kids who like it so much

My mom bought me a couple of books so I could teach myself, but me teaching myself doesn't really work so well....
I took Spanish too, cause I had to.... the only things I remember are the obvious things (Hola, leche, ect..) and "¿Qué hora es?", cause my teacher constantly asked us that.. it took us a while before we realized what he was asking (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

My school only has Korean and Spanish.... but we can take a college language course once we're a Junior.
(My middle school had Japanese for a year and that's when I took it)
I wish my High School had French... (I also want to learn French, cause my dad's Cajun and speaks French.... I did Rosetta Stone in the 9th grade but Rosetta Stone doesn't work for me.. the only thing I learned was some vocabulary and how to say "boy under plane")

Yes, it would be very nice.....

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif) it worked really well for me to teach myself. I knew all the colors, numbers, and quite a few random objects, oh and I knew family members (mom, dad, brother, sister, uncle, etc.)

GAH! "what hour is it?" I can't stand that question...since I can't read normal clocks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalacry.gif) I used to know a nice amount of spanish (I only made it to spanish 1... I was supposed to do spanish 2 this year, but decided against it since it isn't necessary for culinary schools).

Korean is pretty cool, I would rather take korean than french or spanish.
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/weirdsmile.gif) my elementary school didn't do any foreign languages. I wish it did though, I would have gladly taken them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalacry.gif) I'm not on spring break until April 6th, and it only lasts until the 10th.

I think that's all my high school teaches, too. There might be some German class in there, too, or maybe my memory's just shoddy. -.O

I don't think it'll take them that long. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) December is probably our best bet for now. Maybe January.

I've got some Japanese-learning software stored away. I think I might've installed it on my old computer, but that one fried and I guess I forgot all about it. I'm thinking of maybe installing it on my current comp. I can't remember if it just teaches you how to speak Japanese, or read it too...I'll have to check. :O

I took two years of Spanish to graduate, then never l looked back. I was horrible at remembering it all. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalacry.gif) I only remember, like, a few words and maybe one or two phrases. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I forgot to wear green today, lol.

^^^I personally wouldn't take german, even if I had to... I wouldn't ever get any use out of it, ever.

Well, that's not too bad I suppose. Still, it bites that it takes sooooo long (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalacry.gif)

I only have software that teaches you how to speak japanese. I wish I had some that teaches you how to read, it would really be useful...

I wonder how long it took nurse fin to learn how to read it?

Happy Saint Patrick's day everyone! I celebrated today by wearing red, grey and white! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

On the topic of languages, as far as I know, my school teaches French, English, and one Spanish class. I'm in the Early French Immersion program (I've been in it since preschool).
But in university (or I may get impatient and just teach myself), I'm going to learn Spanish (because my mother says I have to learn Spanish before any other language), Russian, Japanese, and German. :)

...Wow, we're really getting off topic.

Trying to stay on topic, I'm hoping (but not expecting) that EAM will come out late this year, since that's the earliest that it can plausibly come out. It's silly, because I'm learning all of these updates and stuff, and I always tell my sister about them... But she doesn't understand my obsession with HM and just says something like, "Why bother when it won't come out for a year?" :(

Oh, random fact: The main character of the DS game "Lux-Pain" looks a lot like Wizard/Gale. Seriously, the hair, the heterochromia... I bet they're siblings that were separated at birth.

Neither would I. xP

I can't remember why I got it to begin with, other than being an anime freak. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) But right now I think I'd rather read Japanese, if only so I can play the Japanese HM games and actually understand what they're saying. Or, at least understand what they're saying in the Ranchtube vids and whatever Nurse Fin posts. ._.

Nah, I didn't get pinched. I don't think many people where I live actually care much whether you wear green today or not. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Heehee, we're so horrible. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Hey, that's precisely why we care, cuz we won't be playing the game in English for a while now and will take anything we can get. :P

Just looked that up...and he kinda does. :O Although his skin is too light to be related to Gale.

I forgot to wear green today... so to avoid getting pinched, I scribbled some green marker on my hand *shows hand* See? I'm poisoning my blood stream.

I mainly learn Japanese by watching Anime.
(They say the same things over and over and I learn what they mean by the translations.. let's just hope that those translations are correct..)

Atsuki? Does he?..... I don't really see it....
His eye glows cause he has a special power, and wears a contact in the other one for some reason...
I kinda want to get that game, but I'm kinda wondering if it would be good or not.... cause it looks cool, but- *slaps herself* Stay on topic, stay on topic!

Realistically, (for Natsume's slowness... for anyone else it'll be out by now...) it should be out by the end of this year.....
I'm hoping, as well :D

Hey, um, Nurse Fin? I know you don't like Ose very much, but I was wondering if you could post some information of him, please? Like, his introduction scene? It's ok if you don't want to, but I can't really find much stuff on him anywhere.

On the topic of languages, a pretty good book is the Living Language, Ultimate Japanese Beginner-Intermediate. It's the book my tutor is using with me, it's been pretty helpful, but it does certainly help to have someone who used to live there teaching me :3 The book alone is good, but I'd suggest learning the hiragana/katakana all together instead of spread out like they do it. And the downer about the book is it doesn't use kanji until much later in the book, so my teacher has to type out the vocabulary for me herself with the kanji. The book uses a whole lot of romanji, which is really a crutch, so you want to be sure to constantly use the hiragana/katakana when doing the reviews etc.

Anywho, on topic. I'm predicting a late winter 2009 - spring 2010 release. Somewhere in that range. That's what I'm predicting..what I'm hoping is a fall 2009 release, that would be a miracle <3
I can't wait to woo Chase all over again! <3

I ready a couple reveiws for Lux-Pain's game and all are pretty terrible. All you do is read. You're better off watching the show or, maybe even picking up a real book.

I took German, since most of my family is in Germany and Cincy has huge German heritage. My high school requires you to take 2 years of a language if you want to graduate. Almost everyone took Spanish since you had to take something, while others like me opted to take German or French. Chinese was added in my Senior year, but you couldn't take that unless you had already finished your requirements becuase it's much harder, and I hadn't yet.

Natsume hasn't announced a release date for EAM yet, but they haven't completely failed us. You can now send your games in for unglitched copies to marry Calvin now. Yay~

youre one of the few people who are looking realistically then. but on the plus side, XSeed is doing great. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif)
RFF came out a month later, and were gonna get in in America somewhere around a year before we get EAM.
all cuz natsume is working on dumb titles like Frantic Farming. it's a shame. if they cared they're be done with SSaF and working on the next couple opposed to not even announcing SSaF

I'm gonna disagree with you. if they HADN'T failed us we wouldn't have to be sending in copies to get them fixed in the first place AND we would already be in possesion of EAM or be close to that.
but no. no announcement of any games except Frantic Farming.
they're failures.
end of story.

on a plus note: (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif) there's a smiley face
