I remember once my sister had to leave early while she was playing so she asked me to save for her, but I automatically saved it over my file. I had been playing that for quite a few months as well.
And then there was a time when my sister was playing, but she usually didn't save until she quit, and the power went out... she lost almost an entire season right there.
Come to think of it, there are quite a few tear-jerking stories like that in our house. :\

...Actually, I'm pretty sure that's not what happened. D: I used to like...watch the Fogu/HMOtaku forums like crazy before AWL's US release, and I'm pretty sure what really happened was that someone thought they'd gotten a hold of all of the English names for the AWL characters, but there were a few discrepancies with some of the names that had actually been kept (Like Nami to Nancy; a few others were Takakura's name being changed to Tak, and Mukumuku's name being changed to like...Mookey or something weird like that.) Eventually when the official screenshots came out, though, those names had still been kept to their originals, and the fanbase was very happy. :P If I have to I'll check the archives of Ushi no Tane...I think they still have topics and stuff from a few years ago in the very bottom of the thread lists; I'm not sure where exactly it cuts off now.

This is just an educated guess, but they might just keep the Witch, Wizard, God, and Goddess's names altogether...The more popular bachelors from ToT had their names kept, as long as they didn't sound too Japanese--because apparently that's like the end of the world to Natsume and they absolutely have to change it--For example, Luke and Gil, and my guess is that if Chihaya had a more 'American' name, they would have kept him, as well. (And I guess if you really wanted to you could count Juli, because there wasn't too much of a change to his name and most people still call him Juli in the English fanbase anyways, since Julius can pretty much be shortened to that.)

Three out of the four special candidates made the top ten on the Japanese fanbase's popularity ranking, and there isn't too much of a difference between the the Japanese and English fanbases at all in terms of character popularity...There're a LOT of Harvest God, Wizard, and Witch fans in both communities from what I've seen...If anything, they might just change the Harvest God's name to 'Harvest Lord' and the Witch's name to Vivian or something--then they'd probably change the real Vivian to like...Violet or something dumb like that so people wouldn't get confused between the two. They wouldn't change them because they know the fans go absolutely crazy with just normal characters' name changes--if a popular marriage candidate had their name changed, then they'd most likely get buried in angry e-mails, which I'm almost a hundred percent positive they hate. (But if you guys actually sent a lot of POLITE e-mails inquiring about the names while they're still in development, you may or may not have a chance...The odds are still kind of against it, though, because it's Natsume we're talking about. X_x)

But if worse comes to worse and they change Gale and Vivi's names into something totally crazy like they did with a lot of the StH characters, I'd totally love it if they were changed to Altair and Vega (like someone else said), respectively. Then it'd be like that legend. :D And Katamari Damacy...>.> Also it works out 'cause Gale likes stars and stuff...And Vega still has the whole 'first-letter similarity' thing Natsume does, so, y'know... XP

That really does make a lot of sense. I could really see them keeping their names, due to how popular their names are, and how much people already dislike natsume -_o (I suppose it's just best to wait a little while, I mean, even though the chances are pretty much slim to none, maybe we'll hear some words on them keeping their names, as well as a release date for the english version :D <3)
Yeah, I like those names a lot, so it wouldn't be THAT bad :D (although I'm lost...what legend? o_o)

This is sort of off topic, but....

Actually, it doesn't appear that your children can look like the main character after all. The only images and footage showing a such a child was from promos made by MMV themselves. Unless your chances of getting such a baby are VERY slim, it seems to have been dropped in the final version of the game.

If it was taken out of the final version of the game, would they of put a scene with a brown-haired kid in the opening of the game?? I don't think so.

I think it's still possible, you just have a slim chance of getting a child that resembles the main character.

I don't even think it's remotely possible to have a kid that looks like the main character. If it was, Nurse Fin would've found out and told us how. Or we'd see more pictures other than the one from the opening.

I thought I had read somewhere that there's something to do with your spouse having some type of opinion on the child- I was under the impression that if you went along with your spouse, that your child would take after the main character. I wouldn't rely on much that comes out of me though, since I'm rather new to all of this random info o_o'

I'd say maybe Jan 010 at the earliest.... considering how long it took them for ToT..... hopefully it'll be sooner, like sometime this year... but we don't even know if they've started yet at all...
