Yahhh You get stuck with a Ranch that you don't get to choose... It is like the best of all three though, as it is near the town, mine district and a beach... You get a barn and a coop at the start which is good, but they barley hold any animals (My barn is full with 1 Sheep and 2 Cows >_<) and Upgrading it is super expensive when you compare it to ToT... Lol it has been hit by the Recession too!

Yeah but you dont really get to pick a stratgy like ocean=fishing and well your family wont go to the other houses. So it would be only you.

The building upgrades are challenging, but not impossible. If you set aside one day for material gathering and have a few Bravo Drinks (which is the only thing I recommend for regaining stamina, it's cheap and replenishes 100%), you can easily collect all the lumber/stone you need for the first house upgrade. Raising money is what takes more effort, but even that is achievable within a short time frame if you grow lots of crops, forage everything you can, and don't spend it on other things.

^Himeka what day are you on? It is taking me forever to make any friends, Is it the same with you? Random people who I haven't really been tring to make friends with have given me a heart... But the people who I am trying to befriend (Mai, Juli, Ose, Luke and Tao) are being really stubborn and wont reach heart two with one gift a day that makes them produce a little heart?

AND I HAVE NEARLY DONE THE GREEN BELL! Its Summer 1st year one and I HAVE JUST PLANTED MY CORN... But I am Really Poor and Have loads of Space left on my feild... But my Second cow is nearly grown so It's milk should help me.

about your question is not hard to make friends if you know that they like example:
wizard loves cofee, witch blackberry pie and ice cream almost everything with blackberry so in like 4 or 5 days you will gain 1 heart I recomend to star raising frienship to 3 hearts with at least 10 people. here I a list of people that I'm befriending and where you can get the items hope this helps you!!

1-Witch: loves tamtam musrooms and blackberry pie, blackberry ice cream (the ice cream and pie in ocarina inn and the mushroom in tam tam forest)
2-Wizard: loves Cofee and tam tam mushrooms (cofee ocarina inn and tamtam mushrooms in tam tam forest)
3-Gill: loves tomato Juice (ocarina inn)
4-Mai:loves blue berry pie, black berry pie. (ocarina inn)
5-Anissa:loves herb tea
6-Won: loves Herb tea, and cold medicine (the cold medicin you can get it in harp clinic)
7-Kotomi: loves herb tea (with a pot and any her you can do herb tea or buy it at ocarina inn)
8-Roomi: loves Blue berry pie (ocarina inn)
9-Sheila: loves cocktails and I think it was coconut or melon (ootori island and armonica bar)
10-Luke: loves Banana (you can find them in ootori island)

BTW: if you ever go to fogu you can find me as PNKDIAMOND3000 :D

GAHHH NOOO WAY!!! I forgot to buy food for people I like... I have been giving them random berry's I find >_< The only propblem is that it is super expensive...

I am now on the purple bell and it is about summer 11th (Another Summer Mix seed became corn and gave me perfect corn on level 2 soil while I was spending fortunes on firtilizing one spot so it gave me good corn, which it didn't >_<) And I currently have 9 Villagers on 2 hearts and 2 on 3 hearts so I think I will be done for fall! I know Thymes shop is double the price, but does it have all the seeds Marimbia farm has without needing to level up, because I want some Bluemist seeds so I can be a hero!

^ I feel it is slightly un-noticable, but if you use it on someone who cant be talked to for ages like the godess it would make a big diffrence.

hmmm a good way to get easy money is to go to the water cave and upgrade your rucksack because you can get a lot of items!! go everyday to the water cave and then when you get the amount of money that you want then stop going because the cave is time consuming so I did that. or wait till Fall and grow a lot of the blue mist flower they are super expensive!!!!! good luck if you need something else just ask also go to fogu they have a really good guide that can be helpfull to you.

EDIT: Thyme at first has more items than the marimba farm but if you get the upgrade you can buy the blue mist seeds at a more razonalbe price check the guide in fogu for more information

These are the crops I recommend for profits:
Spring - Lettuce
Summer - Melons
Fall - Blue Mist Flower
Winter - Buckwheat

They all grow fairly quickly and sell for the highest price.
I wouldn't strongly recommend mining too much if you're trying to save up money, because of the toll it takes on stamina and how expensive appraisals are (it's a gamble... more often than not you will lose money that way)

Also, if you have a full barn, full chicken coop with silkworms, etc. It might be easier to get the high rankings with Dairy shipments... the required numbers are lower, and the rewards are much, much better (giant mountain of shortcakes ftw)
