Actually, for someone dating an artist, I can't stand most of it. The only style of art that I actually enjoy is just pen and ink. One of Fraser's classmates does everything in pen and ink and I love his work. It's always so sketchy and raw.
I have a thing for raw, apparently. I like my accents raw, my art raw...

On the subject of raw stuff, do you enjoy sushi?

I don't like the actual raw fish part of sushi.. sashimi or whatever. We go to this all you can eat sushi restaurant (all you can eat for 10 bucks, it's pretty awesome) and I load up on the beef teriyaki, the veggie tempura and the gyoza. I don't mind California Rolls, either.

I'm bored. It's five to nine in the evening. Shall I...

a) read? (I'm currently studying The Art of War by Sun-Tzu. I know it sounds boring but I for one actually enjoy military history)

b) write? (I started a little werewolf murder mystery project a little while ago)

c) chill to music? (I've recently rediscovered my passion for classical music and spent about £25 on music CDs yesterday)

d) sleep? (zzz)

My favorite activity before going to bed is reading. I find it stimulates my brain enough as to give me dreams, but not so much that I have trouble falling asleep.

You sound like my brother, haha. When we take our uncle to this sushi place, me and my uncle eat $150 between the two of us, but my brother gets the beef teriyaki. I guess it's better than paying $225 on sushi.

Haha I adore fish (I grew up in a town called Salmon Arm... how could I not?!) but only when it's cooked. Fraser's the opposite - he loves sashimi but can't stand cooked fish. ((Although it might be because his mom isn't a very good cook and she makes her fish all weird.))

That's a whole lot of money on sushi. Between the four of us we probably eat $200 worth but it costs us $50 with a tip. Between four people, that's awesome.

How do you feel about fish and chips? And were drugs a big problem in Salmon Arm? It sounds like something a stoner would want on their pizza...

Fish and chips are delicious. Halibut is SO good.

And funny you should mention that. In Salmon Arm, stats say that every second house grows marijuana. I wouldn't say it's a PROBLEM, but there ya have it. A town of about 17,000 people and every year we have a big roots and blues festival and about 24,000 tickets are sold. Plenty of drugs there.

The sloe gin is calling to me. I can almost hear it sing "drink me, drink me" in its happy, wet little voice. I know I shouldn't but will anyone notice if I take just a little bit? Just a teeny weeny little capful or two? Mm, I can practically taste it from here.

You could drink it and be a terrible person and add water to bring it back up to the mark. Oh the joys of getting away (or so we thought) with underage drinking.

I personally can't stand gin. Actually, that's not true. Fraser's dad makes his gin and tonics with lime and that's pretty good, you can hardly taste the fact that you're drinking tree branches.

Do you think we need a "drunk posts" thread? It would pretty much only apply to you and me, which would only occur every so often, but right now I've got a few glasses of wine in me and it sounds like a good idea. In fact there are a number of things that seem like excellent ideas but I'm just barely restraining myself from doing.

I would post in it, that's for sure. Ever since I got banned at the last place I've been ever so careful about what I post. Less so recently, but it seems once I get to know the people better and better I get scared I'll have to leave them. My last forum I had been posting at for FIVE YEARS before I got banned. I met one of my best friends on there, and luckily I had her on msn (and facebook) when I was banned. You're a mod, though, so if you don't think we'd get in trouble (by... well, you) then of course! I'm always game for drunken nights online.
There were actually a few traditions there that I wouldn't mind bringing over here, unfortunately I don't think RS is quite active enough. You should see the forum we got going over there. On average, per night, there were about 50 people online and we'd all be chatting back and forth. Most people made two or three new threads per night just on one board. There were some pretty fun "trends" that we'd do. The whole "question thread" here is something that someone would make almost nightly. There were also "tea parties" where two members would talk on aim or msn (me and that girl would do "drunken tea parties" which was the same thing but we wouldn't sugar coat anything because we were drunk) and everyone would post "hey do me" and we'd talk about them and then post our conversations. Or we'd have "tell me to take random pictures" and people would be like "take a picture of your fridge" and things like that and we'd post them. Sigh. I miss JB. :(

As a moderator, I only really get rid of posts/threads that are offensive or unnecessary. In a properly titled thread meant for this sort of thing, it would be fine. Ultimately if Jason and Saffy are okay with something, then it's fine. Even still if if you gotta take it to instant messaging then who cares, same results, right?

Allow me to answer this again tomorrow when I'm sober.

you have to be drunk while you do it! That's the whole fun. Although sometimes it's fun watching two (or more) drunk people converse and they seem to understand each other and no one else does.
I'm quite excited. Too bad I'm seriously broke.

Have you ever tasted sloe gin? It's like heaven in a bottle. Tastes nothing near ordinary gin.

A Drunken Posts topic sounds fun. Have you ever made a phone call while drunk and said things you'd really, really regret when you sobered up?

Hahaha this comes from page 2 of this thread:

QUOTE
Oh god. Yes. A lot of things, but one of the worst fights I've ever had with Fraser was when I was drunk and on the phone with him. I basically told him that I loved him but I hated his brothers and his mom (his dad was okay) and I didn't want to be associated with them.

Yeah, it was terrible. We don't ever speak about that conversation. I woke up the next morning and I went "...oh I didn't..." and I called him and apologized and we worked it out and yea, we don't talk about it anymore.

When I first started drinking I had this bad habit of calling up my mom and wanting to talk to her. My friends would normally stop me so that's good. Last time I was drunk (Friday night) I called my little brother and sent him a long voicemail, I can't even remember about what. Mostly it's just fun.

And I haven't tasted Sloe Gin, does it still taste like trees?

It tastes of all everything nice you associate with berries, while being sweet and warming and refreshing. To mix it with something like lemonade or tonic water would be like eating caviar with ketchup.

Next time I'm feeling rich and experimental (I'm always experimental, so next time I'm feeling rich) I'll pick myself up a bottle. I'm pretty picky about my alcohol though, mostly everything is too strong for me. I love this mojito mix made by bacardi but I have to half and half it with sprite.
