I know right? I just wonder whether the event is actually gonna happen or if you just hear about it... it would be kinda weird though going from a largely inhabited run down island to a very nice island with half the people on the last one, only its not all run down...

Ahh... just when I thought I had completed the story... a certain twist arises. :P

There's more to the plot than just summoning the God to revive the Goddess' Tree. Hmm... not sure where it's going to lead, but,

I'm not really sure what's going to happen with this, since there's no information about it on the Wiki, but

Wow, that's quite a turn of events. I didn't think it could possibly be a prequel. Also is it possible travel to the island from ToP will be possible? That would be a nice addition but I doubt they could fit it in with everything else. And there wouldn't be anything there I suppose.

Well, I'm not going to expect too much so you probably never actually see Waffle Island, just sending your kid off. On that note, I don't know what's going to happen to my kid once I do that. I saved on an extra slot just in case...

Wow! :D A prequel, of all things! I didn't expect that at ALL! ...If that's really the case then I guess that means all of my silly little theories of Wakuko/Hikari and Akira/Yuuki being Takeru or Akari's kids have to go down the drain...Then again, I guess it could be reversed if the person's playing as Akari/Takeru in WakuAni...

But I guess it makes more sense if it's actually the other way around. Takeru and Akari look practically the same; they're probably adult versions of the kids that're had if the player is the one that chooses the gender for both kids.

And the whole villager-moving-in-thing for ToT makes a lot more sense now and makes the two worlds feel less like "alternate universes", I guess, since now we know where exactly they came from. But doesn't that mean by the time everyone leaves the mainland, all of Harmonica Town would be deserted...? Or, uh, wait! But then when the WakuAni characters come in, where do they come from, Waffle Island? X_x Augh, I'm thinking about this too hard...XD

But dang, that's seriously one of the coolest plot twists ever. Here we all were, thinking it was some kind of sequel...

thats an unlikely possibility and would be a meaningless plot twist. in order for it to make any sense whatsoever, EAM has to be a prequel

and lol at the new Gill/Luke video. it makes me laugh cuz Luna and Selena had that one fight vid, now their husbands are having a little fight. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

I think it's an alternate universe. In ToT, if you read the conversations carefully, most of the inhabitants of Waffle Island has lived there before but moved away after the Harvest Tree died. Not to mention, some of the characters are slightly different from how they were in ToT.

Besides, Marvelous has pulled the alternate universe thing more than once. (HM64 and BTN, Save the Homeland and Magical Melody, etc...)

Just my theory. :]

They're playable. You can play as either Akari or Takeru (from ToT) or Hikari or Yuuki (from Wakuani)

I wasn't sure. I haven't come across any pictures of the ToP hero/heroine in EAM and I'm not sure if Nurse Fin said anything about it. And yeah, you did sound a bit mean but it's okay.

if you want to find picture just go to the EAM link thingy and look at the "At a Glance" part. if I remember right theres a picture of Akari (ToT girl) riding a goat. I avent seen any of the ToT boy though...

I dunno, you make a valid point and stuff, but if the Harvest God and Goddess (of that respective universe, I guess?) are sending the kid to Waffle Island and they actually know about the island's existance, I don't think it would be an alternate universe. True, the deities could likely pass through different universes, (maybe. :P) but I don't think they'd be able to send the kid through some kind of trans-dimensional thingamabob in order to get him/her there. Also, this is just an assumption, but the kid probably takes the boat to Waffle Island like in ToT when you give your kid the Journey Rucksack. (If anyone can confirm this for me, that'd be great. :D ) As far as I know, boats don't have weird alternate-universe transporters/time machines on 'em, (Unless you count that one boat in that episode of Rocko's Modern life that traveled through time. XP) so it's likely that unless there's some kind of cutscene where the God or Goddess transports the kid there, there's no universe switching. X_x

Plus, you've also got the Waffle Island News channel on the TV, which already validates Waffle Island's existance in the WakuAni world. Along with Elli we can assume that the Island still has the residents that it did in ToT.

...Or, you know, this could just be a huge plothole Marvelous overlooked. Either way, I don't mind. I love making silly theories about HM games. I have a whole timeline for this stuff I made forever ago, too, stuffed somewhere in my compy's memory~. :P If I can find it I guess I could add ToT and WakuAni to the timeline somewhere...(I guess we can assume it's in the 64 universe rather than the BTN one.)

Okay, so I FINALLY cleared the game... not like it really matters, since I'm just going to go back to working on my previous file, since there's still so much stuff I haven't unlocked yet.

I recorded all 7(?) parts of the ending... I'm debating whether I should put it up or not.

For those wondering, there IS a New Game+ mode like there was in ToT. However, it's not "restarting as your kid".

Stuff I noticed about New Game+:
-None of your money, upgraded tools, animals, property, or anything else transfer over to your new game.
-Once you arrive at your home, your child (that you sent to Waffle Island) will arrive at your doorstep and give you a gift, if you gave him/her one as they were about to cross over the rainbow.
-you get an ambiguous letter from your parents
-There is a star symbol on your save file
-All tool skills boost to lv5 (and you get 2 free power berries for it)

I think that's it.
