I just had a thought... Perhaphs the gender of your first child chosen by your spouse (Like Juli wanted a girl first) is dependent on wether they were going to have that gender with the rival (Like Juli would have had Angie) I have seen Kotomi's first born too and It's a girl with blue hair, and she would have had a girl with the rival too... I'm probably wrong because I have seen picures of Gil's son when he should have had a daughter, so maybe its just random?

No, I don't think it's random... each spouse will have their own preference.

So far, these are the ones that I know of:

God - prefers sons
Wizard - prefers daughters
Juli - prefers daughters

I guess right now, all we can do is test. I'm about to marry the Witch on my file. So when she asks me what I want, I'll let her pick, then sleep all t he days until the baby is born, write it down. Then reload save, I pick a gender, and see what happens. And then do them both again to see what they look like.

Right now, I'm just hoping I can get a daughter with white hair, and another daughter with brown hair.

When I think about it, I'm surprised you can't get a child with black hair really. The only spouse with black hair is Won. I wanted a daughter with black hair (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalacry.gif) that way I can have two daughters named Kaguya and Mokou.

He said he wanted a girl both times (he'll say it no matter what). But the second time, he added "...but it will also be okay if it's a boy". Probably because you can't have 2 purple-haired daughters...


And if you marry Won, I think it's possible to have a black-haired child. But I don't think you can have 2 daughters or 2 sons that both resemble your spouse.

No, since NurseFin's husband wanted two daughters. I think she's saying that if you choose two daughter or two sons, one will resemble the father and one the mother so they don't both look the same.

I understand what youre saying but thats not what I was asking. what were pretty sure of is if you let your spouse pick the gender it will look like the spouse. but Nurse Fin doesnt think you can have two kids of the same gender who look like them. which means that Julius wanted a girl first and got the girl. when Fin asked again, he said he wanted a girl, but had to say a boy would be fine too so she wouldnt have two girls with purple hair. which means if you leave the decision to your spouse both times, youll end up with a boy and girl no matter what, that both look like your spouse.

Girl D - Resembles Player - Short hair

Also that means that there could be only three kids that could look like your spouse depending on what they want. Say you were married to Julius and you said you wanted a boy, you would get Boy C. Then for the second child he asks for a girl and you get Girl B. There's no way to get Boy A.

I've also wondered if you played as either Takeru or Akari that the genetics would be different, like A would be C and C would be A....
