Okay, I dunno if this is a proper place for discussing books but I'm guessing so. So I was wondering... do any of you read Twilight? Because I love them and I was just curious.

I've only read the first book {I hate spending my money haha} but I LOVE it. And I cannot wait for the movie pretty much just to see Robert Pattinson lol.
Will you go see the movie? |

Why are you going to make fun of the movie?
The only thing I won't like about the movie is the fact that every actor is extremely good looking. It just makes me feel even worse about myself lol :P |

To make fun of the way the actors don't fit the descriptions of the actual book characters.
Like Edward, he has bronze hair, not black. The only one that was spot on was Alice. |

Yeah but they can't ALWAYS find the perfect person for each role.
Think of other movies that were books like Harry Potter, not every actor fits the exact description from the book. |

Yes, but they could....modify the actors if you will ;)
Like they could have spray painted the Edward actors hair. Cuz I think his hair is perfect cept for the colour ;D |

^ I remember seeing a picture of him on another forum and they did have his hair dyed. So I'm not sure why it doesn't look like that in the trailors :(

I have read these books except for the last one (I was waiting for them to have sex for like 3 books then just gave up). I was enticed into the first one like so:
Mike: What are you reading? Sister: Book Mike: Thank you I couldn't tell. What is it about? Sister: Vampires. Mike: *Takes it* It was alright, I suppose. I was looking forward to more blood and killing and stuff, but if you're looking for that in this novel then you're going to be disappointed. The novel is based 80% around the relationship of the two main characters and it's basically every weird (How many normal ones want to not only fall in love but be made into a vampire?) little girl's sappiest love dream come true. The series is far too drawn out, the actual main characters are pretty weak, and I found myself being more attached to secondary characters than the ones I was suppose to care about. I did like that she (Meyers) tried to create a nice back story (Our Italian friends) and for the most part it's not bad but she needs to back it up a lot more. |

I hated the fact that they didn't write about the sex scene itself, just skipped ahead -_-

I hated the fact that they didn't write about the sex scene itself, just skipped ahead -_- She wrote four books about these two people and keep putting them on the edge of doing it and she doesn't even give you a hint of it? Glad I didn't waste anymore of my time. |

Don't get me wrong, it was descriptive, but it would like get to him holding her, then she would wake up and he would apoligize or something stupid like that. I would like it to actually describe more of it D;

She has children, who will undoubtedly read her books someday. If I were her I would not print something I wouldn't want my children to read and most mothers don't want their kids reading explicit sex scenes. In fact I thought she handled it quite tastefully. These books weren't about them getting it on, it was about their relationship which was portrayed in a most interesting manner. The series was not my favorite, but it was still an interesting read. I must admit I liked the supporting cast better than the main two, although I finally understood just how I related to Bella in the fourth book. The last book took me 2 days since I had family in town.
I'm looking forward to the movie, just because I like to see how it looks fleshed out, although I am expecting major alterations from the book. I doubt I'll be too upset since I feel no "love" for any particular character. My plan is to see it at the drive-in, away from screaming fangirls, I would like to hear the movie I am paying for. |

If you don't want your kids to read your trashy romance novels don't write them.
