Hurray, it's finally here!
And so are the overflows of questions. (: Welllll, I've just got a few things on my mind, most of which is probably just common sense failing me. D; First, how do I get to the hot spring? That darn root is in my way, and I haven't found another way around it. Second, does anyone know if as the game goes on, the main character will become stronger? As in, simple things like pulling weeds won't suck down her stamina quite so much? It's really rather annoying. Third, just out of curiosity and an attempt to salvage stamina, how many chops does it take to cut down a tree with the axe you receive from Luke? And how many pieces of lumber do you get from it? Same questions for stones, if you don't mind. (: Fourth, is there a time limit on the resurrection of the Mother Tree? Like, if I don't make all the rainbows by a certain time, the game will end? And fifth, is the game/strategy guide book worth purchase? It's been calling to me from the shelves.. Thanks a bunch to anyone who helps. (: |

I can answer a few of these questions.
For the hot spring, the root isn't in your way. The hot spring is to the right side of the hilltop plot- follow the Caramel River up, and you'll reach Caramel Falls. Keep going up the rocks, and the hot spring will be there. I'm pretty sure to get stronger, you'll need to find power berries. I don't know where all of them are; the only one I've gotten was on the 30th floor of the Ganache Mine. When you cut down a tree, lumber falls all around it, which is 8 total. Then you can cut the stump for one piece of lumber. The large rocks lying around give you 4 material stone. As for fourth and fifth, I have no idea. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) ; |

*Takes a deep breath* Ok, here you go:
1.) That root is actually part of the dead mother tree, but you have to do a series of quests to get it to move. Stand in front of it and choose "check it", to get a hint of what to do. 2.) Yes, your character will use less stamina when you upgrade your tools, and will have some rewards as well. 3.) Doesn't say in guide 4.) Not sure sorry 5.) The guide is most definately worth buying. |

I think it's either 10 or 12 chops with the basic axe.
If there's nothing around it, a full grown tree will give you 8 pieces of lumber + a stump. A boulder becomes 4 material stone. |

There is no time limit of when you have to complete the mother tree. However, it can be completed by Summer of Year Two, or Winter of Year One and the earliest.

The root will be cut by Luke later but that's not how you get to the hot spring It's to the right of that path.
