A little late on this, bad schedule I have.
Who's played it? Is it worth the points? (Do whatever with this thread if it's been posted elsewhere.) |

I have and it's great. I haven't beaten it yet in spite of having it all week, but gaming's been a full schedule lately. In any case... get it. The only issues I've found so far with the game is that some things just wouldn't work on an NES. Too many cutscenes and some animation seems overdone for the era, but whatever. It still plays like it should.

Proto Man just became available today (200 points to download), and I went ahead and got it. I just beat the game too, so I'm letting my twin brother play it as Proto Man. Some differences include there aren't any pick-ups waiting for you, he has a charged shot, and his shield is active when he jumps and will block projectiles (like the flower mini-boss's petals). However, he takes double damage. Also, when you start a level, it plays his whistle before he teleports in.
Beat the game and I have a bunch of challenges done (like 44%, so 22 of them). No way am I doing all of them but there are some reasonable ones I still have to do. Got all the Quick Draws except Gravity Man, I think I have to start the fight with low health for him to charge at me instead of flying away. edit: Proto Man can slide! Wowzas! edit2: He also starts with both Coil and Jet, but instead of being Rush, they are just a generic coil and jet. Also I was wrong about no pick-ups, it's just that he doesn't get bolts and can't buy anything from Roll. The Home option is just not there. |

I don't have it. I know nothing of Galaxy man, Jewel man, Hornet man, Magma man, Tornado man, Concrete man, Plug man, or Splash women. I don't know about them or faced them at all. Or this Wily guy.
