Depends, do you do more than just the down A in the air as Toon Link? A good way to practice is go up against some level 9 CPU's cuz they're programmed to dodge stuff they see coming like that move. If you keep at it, it pretty much forces you to get into the habit of things like blocking/dodging and utilizing all of your attacks.

Oh no, I use link's bombs, boomarang, and arrows. I also found a way to send people flying with -->A, A. It does lots of damage, but takes awhile to get off.

Yeah but you gotta mix it up! A really awesome trick Link, Toon Link and Samus can do is if you press a throw button in the air, you extend the hookshot/grappling beam which are normally for fast recovery, but they also work as awesome near-instant attacks with long range that mess people up. Upon landing, they instantly retract so you can go right into another attack, usually another fast one (like the regular A attacks).

For the record, TB, I still think you're best with Mario. His moves seem so basic but there's so much you can do if you figure him out properly, especially that cape. I think all of his moves have a really excellent fluidity that doesn't leave you too open when you bust out his best ones.

I know, I plan to save him for last. When I played you, I didn't use him for awhile, and experimented. I plan to do that there. Of course, in the case of a bad situation versing 007, I might bust him out.
