AWL It is the greatest, for 2 reasons only (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) . The graphics, and the fact that fishing looks so fun with the graphics (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) . :P other then that MM wins. Because theirs, so much you can do. I think I enjoyed playing MM more at first, but the years took alot longer and my kid never grew up.

Overall, despite the lack of features, I had more fun playing AWL.

Well, for me, both games are great; but I definitely favor AWL.

A Wonderful Life (Another Wonderful Life, to be exact) was my first harvest moon game. I can't really say why I picked it up and bought it, prior to that I've never played or even heard about Harvest Moon. But once I got into it, I was hooked. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

The storyline and roleplaying aspect of Harvest Moon is my favorite, which is I guess the main reason I like AWL more. The whole idea of everyone and everything growing up is really cool. I like how its possible to mold your child into what you would like him to be and watch him grow. I mean, the farming part is fun too, but that's second banana to the storyline.

The graphics are absolutely amazing, too. Everything is realistic but still very cute. I also like the calm, peacefulness of it. It's not as loud, bright, and in-your-face as Magical Melody, haha.

The only complaint I would have about AWL is that it does get slow. I mean, the first couple chapters go by fine... but towards the middle it gets tedious. Even the first days of the year are okay, but by the time winter comes in any chapter, I feel like I just want it to be over and move on to the next chapter. Things can get repetitive, like digging and fishing... but that goes for Magical Melody, too.

What I do like about MM is, though, that it has a great cast of characters. There are so many choices to marry, for either a boy or a girl. But the game doesn't really allow their personalities to get deep, it's all pretty shallow and casual. The days go by faster, which I like.

In the end though, my personal preference is AWL. :)

This is a very hard choice...

I like AWL because your child can grow up, wonderful graphics, and deep personalitys. But it get boring after a couple chapters.

And MM theres lots to do, many people, and you can choose furniture and new houses. But your child never grows up and the personalitys dont get as deep as AWL.

Its a tie! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

Augh.
I love AWL, the map is just right for me and I love the style, but not enough boys or girls...
But MM has so many more marriage choices and a map that's to big...
I wish I could combine them. lol.

I love the personalities, graphics, child growth and how everything turns different in the fourth year. Apart from the grey hair.
But MM has more people, better farming (Apart still having to use a bell and all) and funner festivals, even though they were still kinda boring they were funner. But it doesn't interact with your child and wife basically at ALL! And I love my child...
AWL can get more boring after a while apart from when a chapter starts and you here more news about your child.
IT'S CONFUSING MY HEAD!

Awl no doubt. It was the whole reason I bought a GC. I found MM to be a let-down. The graphics were awful, the spouses were horrible, the voice clips were annoying, the animals were stupid-acting, the festivals were boring...I could go on but there's no point.

Yes, YES! EXACTLY! I feel you man...lolz
I wasn't even going to buy MM but my cousin convinced me! I pretty much just liked that you were able to have more than one horse and that the area was huge. But is it just me or was the guys butt bigger than his head!XD

The animals looked way to umm cartoony, I like it real looking.

Dind't really like MM since you have to speak to a bunch of characters in one day so they won't leave. -_- AWL was a bit sad but it was still good.

I really loved both of them but I may have had more fun playing MM.
I ended up not playing AWL {original one} for almost a year because it was going so slow and like someone said before, you just really wanted to get to the next chapter. But once I started playing it again I did get to the next year and then it was over! I was so mad because I had just got really into it again and then I was so sad at what happened even though I knew what happened.

MM was good because it seemed to go faster and there was much more to do but I hated having to pay attention to all the characters that would move out if I neglected them. Like, why does them staying in the village revolve around so much me paying attention to them?
Oh and I also hated that baby crying all the time. Uuugh.

But both of them are good games and it is really hard to just choose one lol.

A Wonderful Life was boring and repetitive, and I always got bored of it soon after I had gotten married. That and the fact that cows have to breed to produce milk really bugged me. Also most of the stuff you gotten couldn't be shipped, they always had to be sold to Van or the villagers. Finally, you die at the end of the game.

Magical Melody was a lot more fun and more' traditional' to the HM series, just the way I like it.

AWL IS SOOOO MUCH BETTER!!!!!!!!!

MM Never got released on GC in europe... and when It finally got released on the Wii it had been destroyed and I didn't even bother to buy it.

AWL Though IS EXELENT... I am still playing it 4 or 5 years after I bought it... you can have Random or Hyperactive wives (Excluding Celia as she is the normal bride) and they have Moody and depressed children whom ask you "Are you a Square?" to which you reply yes and they get randomly exited... and millions of old people and even older old people who refuse to die and are 106 (GO ROMANA)!!! AND NINA DIES!!! AND YOU OBTAINE MILLIONS OF COWS AS THEY ARE NEEDED FOR MILKING!!! And the best of all... MURREY THE HOBO!!!!
