Hey guys. :) I know it's been a while since I've posted but things have been hella busy. I have, as always, been working my regular job, which got really demanding through the end of January and all of February, but has now started to ease up some. I've also been going to the gym for a contest at my work. I go normally, but the objective is to lose as much weight as possible, so I've been going extra hard. It's challenging for me because I don't have much to lose, so I've got to be very tactful in how I do it, so as not to eat away at the muscle I have.
There has also been streaming, which takes up the last part of my day, leaving very little to do anything extra. But when I'm not streaming, I'm sleeping, and by sleeping, I mean laying down in my bed and playing one of my handhelds. I recently beat Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia, but I still can't seem to bring myself to play through the rest of Bravely Default. Digging through my games, I thought to give HM: TToTT a go. I suppose I was just itching to play one of the many I haven't even started yet. So I liked the idea of keeping a 'journal' of progress through the HM games you are playing. Because of this, I've decided to do the same. I won't be doing it in first person of the character though. I'll just use this thread to keep you all posted on my progress and such. I want to start by saying I am immediately impressed by the game right off the bat. It is very fluid and not restrictive in the beginning, which is nice. I started in Konohana for the simple aspect of I enjoy farming more than taking care of the animals, only to find out my entire town is very Easternized and RED. Bah. Oh well. I've already got a nice source of cash coming in from all the seed that you get everywhere, and the fact that you can literally dig up your whole land everywhere is just amazing. I'm about five days in or so, so it's still really early, but the new villagers are pretty cool to be around. I don't recognize them from previous games, but it seems like they were in some of the ones I never bought. I also think the objective of this game seems more clear cut and attainable than in previous games. The visuals are very nice to look at as well. I'd say my only gripe is that this is my first game where time doesn't stop when you are in a building, so you have to really just keep moving constantly unless you open your rucksack every two minutes to think about what you want to do next. It's not necessarily a problem more than it is me just getting used to it. I've had plenty of time to do all I've needed so far, so it's not been a hindrance yet. Overall this is the first game I've REALLY enjoyed since HM64, so I'm pretty happy about that. I hope things continue on this way. Character Name: Peter (how original, right?) Gender: M Horse: Fionn Farm: Helena (I don't know why, but I've used this since forever) Potential Love Interest: Reina or Georgia... can't quite decide yet. |
