It's Meant To Be

Information: Before you read, listen closely. This will be set on Castanet Island. If I am acting OOC for any character, just try to enjoy it! Nn.. Yeah! Please Enjoy!.. Oh yeah, wait a sec.. The main character is a separate character on her own, the way she looks will be determined later : ) I might have some issues with my point of view time frame too, sorry about that. What is/ What was/ What is going to be.

-edit- I added a few buildings to the original structure of the town, so bare with me.

Chapter 1 -Start-

It's been so long since I've been anywhere for anything at all actually.. Traveling just isn't my thing. But here I am, finding myself seasick over the edge of a tiny barge, sailing across a small expanse of ocean to a place called Castanet. You might be wondering, if this girl gets seasick, if traveling isn't her thing... then why is she going anywhere? Well.. here's the story. My parents are rich... My real mom passed away when I was six, I miss her sometimes, but I didn't really know her.. and my dad is a Hotel chain owner on the mainland. He married this woman.. she's only a few years older than I am (yuck.) But she has a kid... so now I'm the oldest.. I don't really like her or the stuck up kid.. that could be because she feels the same way, but that's besides the point I'm trying to make. So Evil Step Mum doesn't like my attitude towards life (even though she's definitely only with my dad because of his money.) and tells my dad that I'm a bad influence on little brother. I wasn't exactly kicked out, I was just asked to go do something with my life. So, as you can see, I'm on a boat.. heading towards a mundane island (I guess it's not exactly an island.) that I've never heard of. You may ask.. Then why are you going there? Well, I hear that it's got some nice scenery and the fact that a plot of land out there is under 10,000 G is also pretty tempting. I don't know what I'm going to do for work when I'm there, but we'll see how things go.. I guess I could have headed for a city.. but I've lived in a big city all my life and I know rent in the city is more than what I'd have to pay for the whole plot in one month.
"It's land Ho, Little Missy" It was Pascal, the operator of the barge.
"Oh Thanks" I replied kind of mundanely, I leaned a bit more over the edge of the ship and looked for the island, the clouds were black and it was pretty stormy, a lot of the trees on one side of the mainland were dead.. and fields looked gray in the cloudy light. It doesn't look very promising. And of course, it decides to rain now. Pshh.. Good thing the conductor gave me this rainsuit otherwise I think I'd be soaked by the time we hit the docks. Ohp, One more round of sick before I get off it looks like, I shouldn't have looked up.

Finally the shore came. And still, it was raining. I dragged my one bag of Luggage down the dock to the town. darn, why does this place have so many stairs? I wonder which way Molly and Casey live.. Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention my cousins and their spouses live here.. They run a small B&B up in the mining district.. or at least that's what their postcards always give away. Perhaps I could make it there tonight? Might as well try, I haven't any money for the hotel up the hill. I waded my way through puddles through the town and out of it into a grassy plain, empty except for a rugged looking farm, "Abandoned Probably" I say to myself as I pass it by. The buildings looked like trash "Glad that's not where I'm living" I say to myself heading up along a path against the mountains and past a small pond. The wind is starting to pick up, and the rain is big and heavy, even in the rainsuit, I think I am soaked underneath, I'm cold enough to be soaked I think with a shiver. Hn.. better hurry.. I wonder if this is the safest path to their B&B. I should not have thought that because at the top of the hill was a rickety looking bridge, made of rope and boards, the wind was pushing on it, it didn't look that bad though. About half way across I realized how much windier the bridge was that in looked, and it was in a valley so there was a constant stream of wind, lashing the bridge around. I feel too heavy for it. SNAP I nearly scream, stupid board! stupid board. How do I get out of this. I think I scratched my knee, let's not get off topic, My frikken body is now hanging through a space in the bridge where a board once was. "Gah!" I barely manage to pull myself up and onto the bridge again, my luggage was tossed back towards the other side of the bridge too! heck if I'm going after it. I'm shaking, I know it.. I carefully start crawling until I reach the other side of the bridge where I curl up.. my brain is spinning, and my head hurts I think I'm crying, and just as I feel like I am passing out I feel some kind of bear arms pick me up into them.
