This will be a fiction story made up by me and Katie, plus anyone else who we accept. It will involve the paranormal, I.E., apparitions, extra terrestrials, and those things that you just cant explain. It will begin shortly. If you want to join, PM me or Katie a paragraph that you think will scare us out of our pants. :B (Or, you know, just write a really good paragraph that involves something scary :D) Thank you. :] (IMG:http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s186/crazy_apple_pie_11/AHLOL.jpg) We LOVE to hear feedback. Kember sluggishly ambled up the creaky, molded porch stairs. The deteriorating brown paint was chipped, and fluttered to the ground after every step. There was a foul odor lingering in the air, something of an amalgamation of wet garbage and stale beer. She loathsomely grabbed ahold of the broken, silver handle and slowly opened the door, as if she was almost terrified of what she might see on the other side. It wasn't as bad as she thought it'd be; it was bad, but not terrible.
The floor was made of a flowery ceramic tile, ridden with mildew and small creepy crawlies. Mud footprints were still visible from whoever lived in the house before, and mice quickly scattered to opposite sides of the room. The wallpaper, a rotten cheesy yellow, it was obviously drawn by a lazy artist, as it bore a three legged horse. There was nothing but a ratty, old couch in the living area, seemingly recycled from old newspaper and plaid shirts worn by elderly men. Kember groaned in repugnance of the house, every thought consumed of the sheer horror of having to live in this pile of wood. "Hey Kember, you'll fit in with this house just fine! You're both disgusting and no one likes you!" laughed Kyra, rustling her sisters dry, brown hair. Kember's mother staggered in the room, holding on to her alcohol like it was dear life. "Seee, this house'll be fiiine... *burp*" slurred the mother. Kember let out a sigh, and tried to look on the bright side. She had a fresh start, and plenty of things to discover in the new town. She wandered through the filth infested house, searching for a room suitable for her to sleep in. Kember passed by a part of the hallway, where a broken mirror lay in shattered, glimmering shards of light. Kember ignored it, thinking that someone just must've been clumsy, and let a mirror fall to the floor. Kember continued to look through every doorway, and peer around every corner. At the very end of the hallway, there was a room on the left side, that gave a mysterious red reflection onto the dirty, white tile. She perplexedly crept toward the door, imagining as to what could be on the other side. She stood firm in the crimson light, and she gazed at the horror her eyes were witnessing. In the bathroom, was a body of a girl, head hanging down, raven black hair blocking her face, and dripping scarlet blood into a pool surrounding her. Her mind couldn't process what she was seeing. She blinked for a split second, and there Kember stood, at the end of the hallway. There was no pool of blood, no ominous light illuminating her pale skin. She squeezed her eyes shut and quickly shook her head, trying to test her sanity. "Get yourself together, Kember..." she thought to herself. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
