I decided to get the game this week after a bit of debating with myself. While I do like the game quite a lot, I have to admit there's a few parts of it that really annoy me. For instance, having to slash the fruit back at the trees seems more difficult than it should be :\ The wiimote has to do the slash quickly and correctly. Maybe it's just how I have everything setup, but more often than not it comes down purely to fluke that I mention to hit back in time. But uh yeha, not a big deal. I'm really impressed so far; the graphics and story are just lovely.

Forty bucks down the crapper. I had high hopes of this game after watching the opening cutscene. Only afterwards did I realize that the 'calligraphy' facet of the gameplay was obviously designed by a Nazi war criminal on crack. The controls are frickin' IMPOSSIBLE. Part of this is my fault for having no bodily coordination whatsoever, but the original for the PS2 was much, much easier. This game could have been awesome; instead, it's a pile of wasted potential. No offense to those of you who can actually play this game without wanting to throw your Wiimote out the window. That's such a shame. I was going to get this in a few months after the price came down, since I loved it so much on the PS2. But there were a couple of moments in the PS2 version when I screamed out loud because I couldn't get the controls. |
