I think A Wonderful Life is better, personally. The controls in Magical Melody were hard to get used to.

it was very hard for me to get into AWL.. I still have not gotten past a few days in game. I don't like the graphics at all, and for me, it's hard to navigate around town. it also got pretty boring fast. I really regret buying it..

personally, MM is better. the only thing is the art style.. I really like "tree of tranquility"s though!
