What are your pet peeves for this game?
Do you not like how the horse moves? Or do you not like Maya's hair? Discuss here about the little things that rub you the wrong way! |

I was going to make a topic regarding this but then I noticed this topic already exists :P
Okaaay! Well I absolutely love ToT, with it being my first HM game and all, but now that I've gotten back into the game my old pet peeves are coming back. A lot of these pet peeves have been stated before but I guess a little reiteration won't hurt. In no particular order: 1. Oh my. Why must the thunder in the game sound like someone flushing a toilet. In fact, I'm starting to question where the makers got the sound effects for the game. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaeyes.gif) 2. Random cow in Caramel River. Sometimes when I let my animals out to graze, one of my moo-moos decides to teleport herself on top of the river near my plot. This interferes with my morning routine and makes me waste what little time I have in the day :( 3. Time. I have a full barn and coop which means morning chores take up half the day. 4. Pets are more of a nuisance than anything else. You can't teach them tricks so they just walk around the house and take up space. And it feels impossible to get their hearts above 6 no matter how many times you go on a walk or pet them. Also if you accidentally hit your pet with a tool they stay mad at you forever! Doggie why must you hold a grudge?! :( And I can't even count how many times one of my pets have prevented me from opening up my fridge because they either stand in the way or whenever I press "A" I interact with my pet instead of the fridge. Ugh. Get out of my kitchen! 5. This one is pretty silly and it's best explained by an example. I was tracking Gill because I wanted to give him some tomato juice for his bday. This man was said to be traversing Waffle Town Square according to the tracker. So I go up to the square and see Gill by the staircase fading into nothing, meaning that he was leaving the area. I hate when that happens cause that means I have leave the area too, endure the loading time once again, and walk to the intended location of that character (in Gill's case, his father's house). Sometimes this gets really annoying like when I was hunting down Kathy who was at Ganache Mine District. I just missed her as she faded into Maple Lake District, and the tracker said she was at the other end of the District. I literally don't have the time to chase you down. >:( 6. This is a hyperbole but character's go on for years talking about events that happen on the island. Okay Owen, I get it, Julius and that quiet girl got married. You haven't failed to say so every day this week. 7. Weddings are like a race to see who can get down the altar first. 8. Rival weddings start at 6am and end at 12pm. Thanks for taking up even more time that I do not have. 9. My husband doesn't do anything besides make my lunch and give me a baby. I used to think that we'd share a combined income but I guess what's mine is mine and what's yours is yours. 10. It takes too long for the baby to grow up. You could practically finish the main story early in 2nd year on a new game + file but the growth of the child just drags the game on. Despite all the whining I always find myself coming back to this game. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) |
