Not a video game? Screw the rules, I have green hair. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/monster.png)

I know this topic isn't gonna get a lot of traffic, but MAYBE this way I can finally get an answer to that question I keep asking people throughout my various friend groups.

Anyone ever played Pathfinder? It's a newer, more improved version of D&D basically, for those of you who don't know.

Besides that, um... Go to town in this topic? Maybe eventually, we can plan RS events like we always talked about and get together to play a game or two.

I've seen Pathfinder in my local game/comic shop and it looks pretty good. I kinda want to try it out but it's crazy expensive and I've already blown a helk of a lot on board games this year.

I've been playing a Warhammer 40K (which I know absolutely nothing about other than that the armor's ugly) tabletop RPG called Dark Heresy with friends recently, which has been super fun. The endings are always crazy insane. The first time, I died with my leg being hacked off by a team-mate who went insane and believed he was literally a knife. Last time, I ended up being incompletely transformed into a sort of monstrous were-dog with sunglasses and a botched super strength drug transfusion that caused my body to explode due to the stress of having to maul my frenzied team-mates to death in self defence.

Also, I've been playing a lot of the Civilisation board game with my dad. It's pretty fun too. Manages to mimic the PC game pretty faithfully and successfully, and there's a ton of opportunities for strategy and working out different ways to win. I'd try playing it with more people since it would open up different levels of gameplay due to the negotiation element, but I just don't have time. It's like 4 hours a pop just for a couple of people, and this isn't including set up or the extra time needed for a new player to get familiar with the rules. And I have exams coming up in a few weeks. Speaking of which, I should be studying right now ;a; I'll definitely be up for playing any RS games this summer, though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalagrin.gif)
