Err, it's okay to make a topic on this, isn't it? I saw a bit of scarce discussion in that The Bar thread, but I was surprised there wasn't a dedicated thread here. (I'm hoping it isn't like Something Awful where that kind of thing is frowned upon.)

Anyway, I'm pretty sure everyone here knows what this is about. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I'll leave out the "brony" movement (except to say: I love the show, but generally disassociate myself from the "brony" aspect because most bronies I've dealt with irritate the mess out of me). But I do think the show is hilarious, and not even in an ironic way - I do love it for what it is. I think it helps that Rarity, Twilight, and Pinkie are funny as helk.

So... shall we discuss it?

I initially despised the show because of it's fanbase. I generally won't try something if I find the fanbase obnoxious. Why? Because I just don't want to deal with it. Furthermore, the 1980s version was too girly for me. When I was a little girl. So I wasn't about to watch a reboot of it in my twenties.

However, I did hear a few fair arguments about it from people who weren't super annoying. So I decided to give it a try and see what all the fuss was about.

It's . . . good. I don't think the show is worth all the fuss it gets, but it's a pretty good cartoon. The animation is good, the voice acting is good, the music is . . . a mix. It's probably one of the best cartoons on right now, but that's really not saying much at all.

In short, I like it and I do watch it. I just don't find it to be as fantastic as some people do.
