What's Your Greatest Hurdle? Options

Most of us here have played a Harvest Moon game at one point or another. A lot of us have even developed a play style either for a specific game or Harvest Moon games in general.

What I'd like to know is...

What is your greatest hurdle to overcome when playing a Harvest Moon game?

For me, it's the first season of the game, regardless of which game it is. The first Spring is the only part of the game where you have no money, no friends, and no livelihood (crops/animals). A lot of the time I find the first Spring to be hopelessly dull and uneventful and have a hard time motivating myself to go any further in the game. It's for this very reason that I'm only in my first Fall in Twin Villages despite having owned the game for nearly a year and a half, and why I haven't gotten beyond the first few days in Rune Factory Oceans. It's kind of a pain in the trumpet, since, once I actually get going and have a good rhythm in the game, I'll play it obsessively. It's just that first darn season that always gets me.

Some reason that usually never is the problem things always are at a rough start in these games. And I look forwadd to being a boss.

Also Mizuki there are so many easy ways to make money in Tides of Destiny. There are so many cash flow exploits it's not even funny.

My greatest hurdle is usually marriage. Usually I like more than one of the candidates and on some of the older harvest moons you can only save on one save file or you cant do multiple saves. I play the game as if I have commitment issues all the girls will be at max[ red heart or 10 hearts/smiley faces ]; however I can never tie the knot! LOL I usually quit the game once I complete all of my goals. Luckily that is not an issue on Rune factory tides of destiny.
