Male/Female Pokemon, I'm not bothered to search if it's been made already. Options

I always end up getting male Pokemon. My whole party so far is of male Pokemon in Black. The Zoruark I just yesterday from a wireless thingo.... ENDED UP BEING MALE. OF COURSE. Although I think it would be weird if I started to get female Pokemon all of a sudden.
From memory, with the main Pokemon of my party in past games, only Ninetales and Charizard have been female.

Which ones to you tend to get? Or does it seem evenly distributed? UNLIKE MINE.

I've actually gone with the opposite gender even when I have names picked out in advance. For example, I had a name picked out for a male Growlithe, but I ran into a female. Since female Growlithe aren't common, I said, "Why not?" and caught her anyway coming up with a new name on the spot. I actually did the same thing with Vulpix (though it was male instead of female).

So now I have Kiche the female Growlithe and Mugentsu the male Vulpix. =3
