I was just curious. I always nickname my Pokemon when I play, I like to know what other people name their Pokemon. I also like to know if anyone who plays the games nowadays even bothers (especially people around my age). I couldn't find any topics about this already, so I decided to make my own!
Anyway . . . Do you name your Pokemon? What do you name them? Why? Any names you really like? I'll go through a few of my nicknames - I just started some new game files. I have a charmander named Pepper. I usually name my charmander Firestorm, but this one was a girl so I decided to change things up a bit. I named my chimchar Firestorm instead. I named my pikachu Jupiter. 'Cause the Roman name for Zeus is Jupiter . . . and he throws lightning bolts! I totally blanked and ended up calling my mudkip Pisces. Yeah. The fish constellation. The only other one that comes to mind right now is Artemis, my poochyena. I named it that because it's a dark-type and I associate dark-types with the moon . . . and Artemis is a moon goddess. She's a hunting goddess too, so that works great for poochyena. |

Thanks, Oscar! Minerva is one of my more inspired names. =3 I like the name of your Jellicent a lot!
Celia, names from Knights of Round are always fun. I've used a few myself. (Obviously.) Now, I thought I'd share my names from Black and White! Quite a few of these were pre-planned, but there are some spur of the moment ones, too. <3 Lots of references in these names. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) Black (as of the third badge): Versailles the Servine, Bast the Liepard, Nymph the Panpour, Bronte the Blitzle, Chanticler the Tranquill, Lovebite the Swoobat, Caliburn the Drilbur, Puddleglum the Palpitoad, Empress the Whirlipede, Camphor the Cottonee, and Rontu the Zorua. White (as of the third badge): Won-a-nee the Dewott, Cujo the Herdier, Apollo the Pansear, Malaysia the Munna, Goldie the Tranquill, Chalcedony the Boldore, Heracles the Gurdurr, Ferngully the Petilil, Honeybee the Leavanny, and Gmork the Zorua. My favorites are in bold, and I'm open to any and all questions. =3 |
