So I guess that....

Spoiler:
There is this light that flashes around Raven or something and causes imbalance of runes. It makes her and the main guy turn into their monster forms and it brings monsters back to the Forest of Beginnings. But to normal humans it is harmless. So the game is leading me to believe that Raven's "friend" that disappeared was actually a monster not a person. Since Sofia herself questioned if it was human or not. And Raven didn't answer. I kinda hope that's not how it is. Because it is explained away so easily and that means she never actually had to be alone. She just couldn't keep monsters.

I don't know for sure yet. That is just what the game is implying.
