What are you favorite Ethnic foods from your culture that you like to eat?
How about Ethnic foods from other cultures? Hmmm.....Ethnic Foods from My culture....Seafood and Tofu Hot Pot and Sweet and Sour Pork Ethinc foods from other cultures: Pierogi (Polish), Crispy Pata (Phillipino), Haggis (English/Scottish), Sushimi (Japanese), Menudo sin Maiz (Mexico), and Weiswurst, Bockwurst, and Knackwurst (Germany). |

Lots of Yids in Poland. :D
Um, let me see: 1. Chicken Paprikash (Czech) it's this chicken that's cooked til it falls off the bone and it's swimming it gravy made with sour cream and paprika 2. Ttuk Bok Ggi (Korean)- It's this really good rice cake that is covered in red pepper sauce. Mmm. 3. Bu Chim Gae (Korean)- It's a spring onion pancake. 4. Packzi (Polish)- It's this wonderful jelly doughnut that Catholic Poles eat during lent. 5. Latkes(Polish/Yiddish)- A fried potato pancake. Wonderful. 6. Humus and Pita Chips (I'm going to go with Greek, but I'm not positive) Chickpea spread and crispy pita bread. 7. Chicken enchiladas with salsa verde (Mexican; My pal, Oscar, loves salsa verde. :P) 8. Udon (Japanese)- The best noodle ever invented. Period. 9. GOOD macaroni and cheese (American? Italian? Whatever...) With the crumbs on top 10. Spicy Korean Ramen soup 11. Steamed white rice (Asian) 12. Ratatouille (French)- A yummy dish of cooked veggies. 13. Lasagne (Italian) 14. Gnnochi (Italian)- Potato pasta that is excellent with marinara sauce. 15. Onigiri (Japanese)- Rice balls. I love them soooo much. Especially with soy sauce. I'm sure there's more, but I'll edit later. |
