According to PokeBeach.com there's significant reason to now believe that there is a new collection of Pokemon to be announced soon :D Perhaps come the next movie we'll be seeing some new ones. They just love to keep making more, don't they?

How man monsters did Digimon have? Like SwedishElf said, around eight hundred. And yes, a lot of them are re-colors but the majority are not. Yes you most certainly can. They can make a smaller amount than they usually do so they don't run out of good ideas too fast, and add them to the truckload that already exist. And seriously, who's gonna be "bored" of the last generation only three years after it came out? I don't know anyone who got "bored" with 3rd Gen's lineup that quickly, and there are still many, MANY fans who love 2nd Gen's Pokemon. No, you really can't make a new game with just a few new Pokemon - not with the way the games are designed. You need enough new Pokemon to fill a new region. To say, "This is a whole new region with ten new Pokemon!" wouldn't be all that exciting. If it's a new region, it goes without saying that the animals living there are going to be different. I'm not bored with any generation yet, but the flow of new Pokemon is nice. It makes me want to go back and play the old games as well. So the new games and the new Pokemon also remind of the old Pokemon, and thus keep me interested in the whole series. |
