According to PokeBeach.com there's significant reason to now believe that there is a new collection of Pokemon to be announced soon :D Perhaps come the next movie we'll be seeing some new ones. They just love to keep making more, don't they?

If they do make more, it should only be a small number of new ones this time, not another 150+ with a few cases of screwing around with classic designs. Seriously, we don't need 600 Pokemon. We don't even need 493 or however many there are now. And what's worse is that some of the newer ones are starting to look like they don't even belong in the series, like they're some kind of crossover character. For example, Shaymin's flying form looks like a Sonic character, the Regi family looks almost like Angels from Evangelion, and Palkia looks more like it should be getting summoned in a Final Fantasy game.
They need to realize that kids don't need to be bombarded with new and increasingly unimaginative Pokemon every few years in order to stay interested. They're acting like kids all have the attention span of a goldfish when it comes to the things they adore. |
