Have any of you ever felt that you're getting too old for video games? Lately I've been feeling like that. I still like them, but I feel like I'm getting too old. I guess sometimes I feel like a little kid playing some of these video games. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) I guess it must be society that is telling me it's wrong...

"Age is just a number." That's what I like to say. Your age doesn't really mean much when it comes to personal entertainment choices.
The only time I feel old is when I mention that I still have, and occasionally play, games on my Super Nintendo. (Well, Super Mario RPG is about the only SNES game I play from start to finish anymore.) Other people are like: "Whoah!! You still have one of those!? That's, like, an antique!" **slaps forehead** I remember when that thing came out. My dad waited for like a year to buy us one, but... It was top of the line when we got it. My dad got an Atari when he was a teenager, and he would still get it out and play it from time to time. (Until he died. I don't think it's left its box since Dad died, as he was the only one who really used it...) My brothers do make fun of me for still playing Mario games. They started out with Mario, but one "graduated" to American football games and the other to various Star Wars games and MMORPGs. I just...stick with what I like. |
