I have to complain about this to someone and since I rarely ever post on this site, I thought that this might be a good way to get me started.

I got Animal Parade a week ago. I bought it using the last of my money so now I only have about a $1.30 to my name.

I popped in the disk and noticed that I got bit bit of lag as I played. It didn't bother me much and I read later that other people had the lag too and could get it fixed. (Something about updating your console. I didn't have the option though since I live out here in dail-up land.) Anyway, other then the lag, the game was great! Everyday after getting home from school I would finish my homework, turn on my Wii, and start playing.

I rang the first three bells before I was half way through the 1st Spring and rang the 4th one as soon as Summer started. I then began courting the Wizard and befriending the rival girls so I could get their wishes and marry them off. Ah yes, my little virtual life was good.

And then the unthinkable happened...

My Thanksgiving Break started today and I was very happy. I would have 5 whole days to play Animal Parade! Everything started out normal. My Wii turned on like always and I started to play. I played for three game days with no problems. On the forth day I got the Wizard to seven hearts and was excited to see his confession event. I had several ingame hours before the event would take place, so I went to the forest to get the Fugue mushroom for the day and say "Hi" to the witch.

It was during a loading screen that my gaming life would be changed....Well, not forever, but a little while at least.

My Wii started to make funny sounds. I didn't think much of it at first. I had a launch Wii and it had always made loud sounds. But then the screen went dark and I got....The Dreaded Error Message of Doom....

I did what the Wii manual said to do: I ejected the disk and I took the power cable out of the Wii. I waited 5 minutes and turned the Wii back on. It seemed to be working because I got to the channel screen just fine. I shrugged and muttered about consoles being grouchy when they got old. I slid in the game disk....

....and got the error message again.

I was now truely freaked out so I grabbed all my Wii games and tried them out one after the other.

Wii Sports, fine. Twilight Princess, fine. My Sims, fine. Sonic and the Secret Rings, fine. Mario Kart, got the message I had got months before with Super Smash Bros...(Different then the AP message, though.)

Animal Crossing....Error...

I sighed, ejected the game, and waited 5 minutes.

I put in Wii Sports again...

Error Message.

What the Fruit Loops?

I repeted this process until I had to come to the conclusion that my Wii wouldn't play wii games anymore. Mysteriously, it still plays Gamecube games. Go figure. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif)

Anyway, I saved everything I could to an SD card, since the only option I have now is to send my "Fancy Gamecube" into Nintendo. $75 bucks...Merry Christmas to me....

Good bye fully paid off house in Animal Crossing! Good bye almost perfect Nights file! Good bye all characters and stages in Super Smash Bros! Good bye perfect Mario Kart file! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalacry.gif)

Anyone else ever have this problem? Any words of encouragment? Any cookies?

Thanks for your concern, everyone. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasmile.gif)

My sister's Wii will be returning to her house tomorrow. In the short time that I had it I was able to marry the Wizard and give birth to our daughter, Stella. Unfortunantly, I won't be able to see her grow up until my own Wii is fixed. I haven't even sent it out yet. I might not be able to until after Christmas. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalasad.gif)

If anybody has a picture of the Wizard's older daughter grown-up, I would love to see it.

There is a silver lining to me losing my Wii. I'll finally be able to force myself into writing all the fanfictions I have floating around in my head...
