NISA has always been pretty good with releasing games that are unique, whimsical, and lovable all in one. A Witch's Tale is no different. You are Liddell, an adorable, yet slightly mischevious witch who is one day looking for a spell, only to release a nasty old hag that used to rain heck on the village. As the person who released her, it is now Liddell's job to seal her back up.
All of the characters look quite intriguing. I'm curious to know who is doing the illustrations for this game. From what I can tell of the game, it seems to be a genuine RPG, played from the first person's perspective during battle (think Earthbound). The game is compromised of many dolls, which are how Liddell casts her magic. By having a certain doll equipped, she will have different abilities. It also seems that some dolls can actually become allies. They are utilizing the touch screen slightly from what I can tell, but nothing too over the top: drag and drop spells, menu navigation, etc. I'm a strict follower of NISA, so this game will probably end up in my collection. Kaguya is derived from Kaguya-hime, the main character in a 10th century Japanese folk lore "Taketori Monogatari". She appears in a lot of differed forms of Japanese culture. A Witch's Tale's lands are loosely based on famous fairy tales around the world. Hansel & Gretel, Alice in Wonderland, and thus Taketori Monogatari.
