Alright, I think I'm all established for a test run of Ranch Story Radio. Apparently the way I have to do it is I have to book hours ahead of time, and as long as I'm running Winamp, you'll be able to listen. Our test run is going to consist of Final Fantasy X OST for the first run. All you need is a version of Winamp.
http://www.winamp.com/ Once you have it up, I'll let you know where to download the file. It's a .PLS file that recognizes the server, and it goes into your playlist as just one song, but streams my music. We shall see, and keep our fingers crossed that this will work. The radio will be running from 1AM to 2AM EST. I'm sorry the time is so late/early for some of you, but alas, I requested on pretty short notice. I'll update later when it comes closer to the time. Hope you all enjoy it. (Couldn't put this in announcements, because I don't have special privileges. Heh.) |

Again, thank you all for those of you who listened. For those who couldn't make it, I'm sorry, and I've got a future date possibly in the making, and it will be soon, so you can participate too. This time it won't just be one OST, but rather a collection of music that will be requested by you. I will also throw in voice clips to see how they work out (similar to the commercials, but more or less just identifying the song and it's requester. This will be test two.
Test three, our final test before we consider this thing "live" I will be doing a live performance of DJing, so you can all find great humor in my sillyness. :) Again, keep your eyes peeled on this topic, and I hope to see you all there! I'm also currently working on a way we can either have a request forum, or maybe do "live" requests via some common chat program. More on that though as development continues. Jason, I need to ask you something too. I work until 10pm EST tonight, so if you can fire me a text, that would be great, if not, possibly be on MSN a little after 10:30 EST? I'd appreciate it. |
