Hey!
I was just wondering, how many people on here actually have jobs? If you do, then post what your job is and any other info about it! Like, are you happy, how much you get paid, how you got it, etc. |

Pfft, I don't need to work, but I'd like a job because it's boring just staying around at home all day. I haven't had to work since 2006.
I make little knit/crocheted trinkets to give to people sometimes. But that doesn't really count since I don't make money off them. But I have so much yarn right now, I don't have to spend money to make them, either! So it's all good. I'm a transcript away from applying to become a substitute teacher for elementary school - and I'm pretty sure I'd get accepted for that, since the local school district really needs substitutes. I've heard that they treat their substitutes terribly, though (don't most school districts?), but I'd like to try it anyway. I want to become a teacher. I especially want to teach English to people who speak another language. I have my TEFL certification, but I'm having trouble finding a job. It seems that most EFL programs in schools here are either canceled due to budget cuts, or they have all the staff they need. Same goes for classes for adults. I want to try subbing to decide exactly whether I want to teach children or not. I don't need a full-fledged teaching license(s) to sub. Problem is, they want me to send them an electronic version of my transcript. Which I don't have. And I can't get. So I have to fill out the paperwork to get my university to send my transcript, wait for it to come, and then find out where the district's central office is and bring the unopened envelope to them. I can't mail it to them for some reason. I have to bring it in person. I don't think I can do all that before school starts (school starts the 24th), so... But we'll probably be moving to Dallas in a couple of months, anyway, so I guess I'd best wait. |
