Plain and simple, have you ever got into a game series because you learned about the character(s) from playing Smash Bros?
In an example, Fire Emblem vaguely sounded familiar, but after playing Melee and thinking Roy and Marth were pretty awesome, I decided to give the series a chance. I was fairly surprised and initially disappointed when I got Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Ike's first game, doesn't feature Roy or Marth) because the game play was fairly limited. I got more interested when I got further cuz I realized it was much harder than other games, including other tactical games. Then later when Ike was announced for Brawl I thought that was pretty awesome, but I miss being able to play as Roy and I enjoyed his game (Fuuin no Tsurugi, or the Sealed Sword) much more than Ike's. I was already familiar with the games from every other series (I even had Game and Watch Gallery for the original Game Boy) so Fire Emblem was really the only one that was new to me. |

Oh, I have Seisen no Keifu, too (downloaded it from the Wii Shopping Network; yay for the Japanese one having FE games!) but I have never really played it. Got too involved with PoR instead. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif) And now I've cleared it (PoR) about 3 or 4 times, and RD about 10 times, woo... (Always on easy or normal mode.)
The English version of RD is so much easier than the Japanese version. I was greatly startled by the differences when I played the English one for the first time. I should give Seisen a try. Thracia776 is available for download, too. I'll probably get it sooner or later. Speaking of downloading games, I should get Makiba no Mise, too. Ehehe. So much to download... So much time to waste... ^^;;;;; |
