Weeelllll... I'm not totally sure how to say this. ^^;;;; Ahem. I'll just go straight for the facts. Many of you may not know me, and I probably don't know most of you, but here goes.

'Tis me, Marie, formerly known as Akie (in the days of HM Otaku). I used to be active here... years ago. About 2 years ago, I think. I was a staff member who mostly covered Tree of Tranquility (we called it Tree of Peace back then).

And then... I vanished. I claimed real life got in the way, I know. The real thing was... I had a nervous breakdown. In 2006, not too long before this site was created, I lost a number of people dear to me in death, including my father, who supported me in so many ways. Without his influence on my life, I lost my mind. Literally. It was a slow process, but it happened. I've never been very stable, but I completely lost it. --; And I couldn't do much of anything. I got depressed and paranoid and... It was just awful. I drifted away from pretty much everything and everyone - although I missed my old life, I felt I wasn't worthy of friends anymore. Who would want to be friends with a sad bundle of nerves like myself?

It's strange how you can trick yourself into thinking bizarre things when your mind isn't right.

In short, I recently started getting professional help, and it feels like a weight's been lifted off my shoulders. I can think more clearly now! I'm trying to come back. Slowly. I think I will do some part-time reporter work here (translating stuff if necessary), and I've already made videos from Rune Factory Frontier, which are displayed on YouTube (my user name there is AkieAutumn98). I'm not much up to answering loads of questions about stuff, though. Sorry. xx; (For the record, I have as yet to play Kirakira Taiyou to Nakamatachi, Wakuwaku Animal March, or Youkoso! Kaze no Bazaar he. I bought Rune Factory Frontier instead of the latter. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) But I'll get it eventually.

And I would REALLY like to thank Saffy and Jason for being so supportive of late. ^^ You guys are truly wonderful friends!
