Okay, I've been figuring out a bit more about the kids...
Child's Appearance I think that you may not have to let the spouse pick to have a child that resembles them. At least, judging by other people's pictures, you don't have to because you can have sister/sister, brother/brother, sister/brother, brother/sister combos with anyone. Though, in the opening videos and such, there were children that resembled the main character with Kotomi. I'm still not really sure about that. Older brother: Straight hair Younger brother: Spiky hair Older sister: Long hair Younger sister: Short hair Child's Personality If the appearance thing seems complicated, then this might just be downright confusing. We still don't know all the possible personality types, or how to get them all. From info that players have gathered, your child's personality is dependent on your spouse's influence AND your own influence. You are given 4 questions throughout your child's development in which you can influence their personality 1. After it's born (a) Strong and Energetic (b) Kind and Gentle 2. Crawling Stage (a) Champion Learner (b) Learns at Own Pace 3. Walking Stage (a) Studies Hard (b) Carefree 4. Talking (a) Talks Passionately (articulately) (b) Talks About Dreams *You can also choose how the child addresses his/her parents at this stage Now here's where it gets a little foggy. Depending on your spouse, there will be one "basic" type of kid that you will get if you don't enter certain combinations. edit-- It doesn't necessarily correlate with ToT. I added spouses names next to the type which is most dominant for them. Personality Types Type A "Serious and Polite/Studious" (Anise, Pat, Won, Gil) Type B "Cool and Collected/Reserved" (Goddess, Kotomi, Wizard, Chihaya, Tao) Type C "Dreamy and Carefree" (Leena, Mai, Calvin, Juli) Type D "Hyper and Hot-Blooded" (Witch, Cathy, Roomi, Sheila, Luke, Ose, God) D is therefore the most common dominant type, with B in second place and C and A tied for least dominant. (however, many Type A/B/C dominant parents cannot have type D kids) Spouse Bias and Your Influence If you don't enter the "proper" combinations, the child's personality will take after the spouse's influence instead (their bias). New-- there might be types that are impossible to get depending on your spouse, but it's not a sure thing. edit: added "possible types" for each spouse in the order of dominance. Generally most possible combinations follow a pattern: Dominant type: Dependent on 2 questions (so the other 2 questions, doesn't matter what you choose) Middle type: Dependent on 3 questions (one question won't matter what you choose) Third type: You must enter one specific combination. Each of the required combinations tend to be unique to each spouse, there are no universal patterns. Goddess's Child Possible Types: B, A, C Cannot have: Hot-blooded child Type B child: a-either-a-either Type A child: a-a-a-either Type C child: a-b-a-b Witch's Child Possible Types: D, C, A Cannot have: Reserved child Anise's Child Possible Types: A, C, B Cannot have: Hot-blooded child Leena's Child Possible Types: C, A, B Cannot have: Hot-blooded child Cathy's Child Possible Types: D, C, A Cannot have: Reserved child Kotomi's Child Possible Types: B, A, C Cannot have: Hot-blooded child Roomi's Child Possible Types: D, A, C Cannot have: Reserved child Pat's Child Possible Types: A, B, D Cannot have: Dreamy child Mai's Child Possible Types: C, D, B Cannot have: Studious child Sheila's Child Possible Types: D, C, B Cannot have: Studious child God's Child Possible Types: D, B, A Cannot have: Dreamy child Wizard's Child Possible Types: B, A, C Cannot have: Hot-blooded child Luke's Child Possible Types: D, C, B Cannot have: Studious child Calvin's Child Possible types: C, D, A Cannot have: Reserved child Chihaya's Child Possible types: B, A, C Cannot have: Hot-blooded child Ose's Child Possible types: D, C, A Cannot have: Reserved child Won's Child Possible types: A, B, D Cannot have: Dreamy child Juli's Child Possible types: C, A, B Cannot have: Hot-blooded child Gil's Child Possible types: A, C, B Cannot have: Hot-blooded child Tao's Child Possible types: B, A, C Cannot have: Hot-blooded child edit: I added more info, now that the guide is out child's personalities are more clear. Picking them up and showing them to other people, rub them with 2p mote and playing with baby rattle It's not 98% anymore but 100%, this topic was pretty old and the game was just out back then so that's why the topic's title and earlier posts are still a bit full with theory since no much real fact yet unlike now and the baby's crying and laughing for every minutes regardless you pick them or not :p wow so they added a lot thats great!!!! |

Meh, 2nd son is obviously for Chase's son
He's just looks like his daddy, now if we only could put some hairpins.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalatounge.gif) 2nd son hair fits good for darker hair, but meh for light hair, I dont like Gil's 2nd son. It's 1st son all the way for his child. I dont like 2nd daughter's hair though, looks good in fanart, but meh in game graphic, expecially that uhh...empty part behind her neck wow so they added a lot thats great!!!! It's not that great actually, it's too bad that you cant snuggle or throw them up like in AWL but I dunno how the baby in ToT so maybe it's better compare with it |
