Nintendo has confirmed a 2009 release for Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, DS remakes of the principal Generation II Pokémon games, Gold and Silver, which were originally released for the Game Boy Color in 1999 in Japan. Speculated by fans to be in development since the release of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, the remakes will take gamers back to the Johto region, found west of Kanto — this time as Generation IV games. The games will most likely be able to link to Diamond, Pearl and Platinum as shown by game data. HeartGold and SoulSilver will be released in Japan this fall, possibly on or near Nov. 21, the 10th anniversary of the original release of their namesakes. International releases will likely come in mid-2010. (IMG:http://archives.bulbagarden.net/w/upload/6/6f/GSDS_logo.png) Pokemon Website (Japanese) omj. |

After reading FC's post I realized how awesome this is gonna be. Being able to catch my some of my favorite pokemon right out of the gate. So awesome. Havent been able to do that since the other remakes, and even then I didnt really start playing pokemon until G/S/C and you couldnt get Chikorita off the bat in the other remakes.
Think they will have the pokemon bug catching contest? I used to love that. Also... is that Chikorita standing there? Do you think they will finally let your starter/first slot walk beside you? Besides like 10 of the girliest pokemon in that stupid garden thing. |
