Hi everyone! I've been working on this original series of mine for a little over a year now, but this is the first time I'm announcing it public. I've started a couple of rough draft manga pages and even have a visual novel game in development (using Ren'py). I don't think I'll ever have it published or anything, but it's something I really enjoy doing. I'll be posting some stuff on it here with drawings and sketches of the characters, along with biographies, personalities, storyline, setting, etc.

Please feel free to critique and tell me what you think of the characters! And PLEASE DO NOT STEAL ANYTHING. Characters, drawings, and story were produced by me. :]

Title:Exodium
Exodium is split into three parts; Andante, Adagio, and the Final Prelude. There's actually a series I'm working on together with a friend that comes after Exodium called Requiem, but I'll save that for a later time. :]

I used a lot of Norse mythology, Anglo-Saxon, and French references in the series, so history is SOMEWHAT (but not totally) accurate. The setting takes place in a fictional kingdom called Bedouir, located on the border between present-day Germany and France. It has sort of a medieval theme with knights, chivalry, kings, queens, magic, gods, demons, violence, gore, etc, etc (LOL). No dragons though. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/lalaexdee.gif)

I'll post more on the storyline later. I'll go ahead and skip to a few of the characters. :]

Full Name: Hildegard du Rochefort de la Garde
Nicknames: Hilda, Hilde, Hilde the Bloody

Name origins: Her father is of Germanic origins and her mother is of French. The name 'Hildegard' means "Battle guard" in old German. 'Hilda' simply means "battle". 'Hilde' is a French variation of 'Hilda'.
(IMG:http://img367.imageshack.us/img367/4913/charahildazm2.jpg)
Personality:
Hilda is very solemn, serious, and mature for her age. She’s rather soft-spoken and quiet, though not necessarily shy. She is noble, graceful, and loyal. Apart from her polite behavior at court, she has a much darker side. Born of royalty and placed into knighthood at a young age, she was taught to be chivalrous, but also trained to kill. Despite her good manners, her cold and morbidly forlorn demeanor can be unnerving to others. She shows quite a bit of disdain to those around her, save for a few that she truly respects. She prefers solace and tends to keep everything to herself.
(More to come)

Full Name: Matthias de la Garde
Nicknames: None

Name origins: He shares the same father as Hilda but his mother is of peasant class, therefore making him the illigitimate child of the king. The name 'Matthias' is of German origins, meaning "Gift of God".
(IMG:http://img366.imageshack.us/img366/2017/charamatthiasvs3.jpg)
Personality:
Matthias is a kind and naive boy. He has lived a sheltered life with his mother until her death and when his father took him in, he was very protective of the him, leaving Matthias oblivious to many things. He is very mild-mannered and at times, shy. He shows a strong compassion towards those around him and is trustworthy. He gets sick at the sight of blood and has a strong desire to protect the weak. Overall, he is the polar opposite of his elder half-sister, Hilda.
(More to come)

To put it in a nutshell, you want to be Matthias's friend because he's nice and you can order him around because he's a complete pushover. You DON'T want to be Hilda's friend because she is NOT nice and will cut you (LOL).

If you check out my deviantART (watermarked on the pics above), you'll be able to find a few more pictures of Hilda~ But for now, you'll have to wait before I post more characters, story plot, and drawings.
